StrawberryBlond 14,310
So the Eurovision Song Contest won't be held in an arena in Copenhagen? Didn't they build an arena for that? By the way, my father is investor in Rotterdam stadium "De Kuip", and they're planning to do either: Make the stadium a 70k-capacity stadium with closeable roof like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yR1aWxJlRo Or build a new stadium with a ~72k capacity and closeable roof on a different place. This is most likely, because there's one person with 51% of all investments and he wants this while most other investors want the other one What do you guys think is the best? And do you guys think Gaga could ever fill the *future* stadium? You don't get it. These numbers are unofficial, and we CAN'T know how well the date is selling. It mightas well be 50% sold out. It's like saying 538544 out of 599825 tickets have been sold for the US leg without any source, confirmation, or anything that would make it seem reliable. You can't just post likely fake numbers in the OP, in my opinion. The Eurovision Contest will be held at the B&W Hallerne complex in Copenhagen. It's an old shipyard with two large halls and apparently, for concerts, it holds about 10,000. I don't see the point as it's a really ugly building and 10,000 is a pitiful amount for a Eurovision stage. I don't see why they couldn't just use the Forum Copenhagen, which is the same capacity but nicer looking. Or better, the Parken Stadium, which held the contest before. It just seems like Eurovision don't like the idea of stadiums, though and I don't get why. I'm still mystified as to why the biggest arena in the country is in Herning, a place on the opposite end of the country to the capital, with a population of just over 47,000, making it only the 11th biggest city in Denmark. It's no wonder that many artists who go there prefer to use the Parken Stadium, not because they're actually big enough in Denmark to fill a stadium, but because it's the only decent sized venue in the country's most populated city. It'll be a relief when the Copenhagen Arena's finally built - ticket sales will be huge across the board, I'm sure. As for the Dutch stadium, I'd say the first option would be better. 70,000, with a retractable roof in Rotterdam, the second most populated city in the Netherlands sounds about right. I don't see the point of making a huge stadium in a small city. Personally, I don't think Gaga could sell out somewhere like that. Even at her peak, she couldn't pull in figures like that in the Netherlands with 4 or so dates (I think she did Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Arnhem as I recall). The Gelredome in Amsterdam is probably the best she could do. But she couldn't afford to go anywhere else if that was the case. But someone did post a source, and seeing as I had no figures up until then, I jumped at the chance to post an update. What's the point in having this thread if we can't post any figures just because we're not 100% sure? No one's 100% sure until the official sales data comes back after the show. So, let's just get rough estimates and be happy with that.

So, let's just get rough estimates and be happy with that. Thing is, the estimates are probably far off Yeah, Gaga probably wouldn't be able to sell it out unless she skips Antwerp. Don't worry, where in the Netherlands you perform (Rotterdam, Amsterdam or Arnhem) doesn't really matter - it only takes 50 minutes to go from Rotterdam to Amsterdam. We actually consider it the same agglomeration ('De Randstad'), just like how Tokyo agglomeration population is ~35M and Seoul's is 25M. So it doesn't really matter where, biggest difference is the fact that Rotterdam has no tourism while Amsterdam is full with tourists and that Rotterdam is closer to Antwerp. Gaga probably wouldn't ever be able to sell out a stadium here, since I think her career is basically nowhere right now. Last Top 10 hit was Born This Way.. Luc 4,775
IKR. All we are gonna see that week on twitter is RT for artRave FAV for PWT I actually think it'll be beneficial for both. Gaga fans and alike will see that katy isn't even that bad on tour like she is with simple performances Media attention to Gaga 'winning' this round
