For me, it's about the videos, the fashion, the performances, the tour, the fan interaction, the music, and yeah, I care about how well my fave is doing. Gaga's a visual artist, and it's not all about the music. She's said it herself, a week after the Applause release and numerous times before. I would've never been a fan of Gaga, had it only been the music and nothing else.

And she sells 2x more tickets, which makes up for the ~1.5x cheaper tickets

Considering katy has two mega hits this era and cheap af tickets, its inly normal to sell like this.

Considering Gaga is flopping everywhere, with nobody supporting her album, not even her, and with expensive tickets, she doing really great

Considering katy has two mega hits this era and cheap af tickets, its inly normal to sell like this.

Considering Gaga is flopping everywhere, with nobody supporting her album, not even her, and with expensive tickets, she doing really great

U can't really compare Gaga and katy right now

But isn't Gaga a 'touring act'? Didn't the GP want to see Gaga, like people claimed, because she was such a good performer? Didn't people think Katy was a bad performer and didn't so many people say that she'd never be big with touring, because she's a bad performer? people said all of this, and it's just a shame to see that Katy, with her horrible stage presence and vocals, is going to be seen by so many more people than Gaga, despite having a smaller fanbase.

 

By the way, Katy's cheapest tickets for her Verizon Center show are $41.10, and Gaga's are $49.80. The difference is not even that significant. I could be wrong though, I just clicked a random show.

Or an albums artist

Or a singles artist

If an individual album and its singles do moderately, then the tour will do moderately because there is moderate demand.

That's the case with artRAVE

If an individual album and its singles do well, it will sell well and there will be a lot of demand like Katy's tour.

I know, but she already has more dates than the BTWBall in Oceania.

 

NA and AUS yes but not UK I think?! She has more dates in UK than Gaga at the moment but not selling that great...maybe for now she has sold out more than one London date but some time ago they were still not sold out...but well, it is what it is and if she  is selling better at the moment, which is no surprise for me, then good for her. And let's face it, her team is really good at promo, like REALLY good. Hehh, Gaga doesn't even have any huge posters in AUS. Absolutely not surprised with the way things are going at the moment. But I'm absolutely sure that Gaga will still come out great from this. Can't imagine her not starting to do any promo for her tour soon...

Madonna isn't a pop girl anymore? She had one hit bigger than Applause WW, but the singles' underperformance in Anglophone markets makes up for that. After that she barely even entered the Top 20 anywhere and then she went on to gross $300M. Touring Act, TBH.

Was just in touch with my Aussie friend, she said how there's massive promo for everyone but Gaga, people barely know she's actually going to bring them the same huge tour like BTWB was. I absolutely don't understand the lack of promo even for the tour. But I'm just hoping that it's a temporary thing and once Gaga is back with her third single etc the actual promo also starts, especially in Australia, which has always been a place where actual promo is needed IMO, especially when you haven't had any huge hits etc.
