Actually people always think France is Paris... For example people don't know about Galaxie d'Amneville (same capacity than Bercy), which is a great place to perform (Beyonce, Britney, Will.i.am, JLo, Sean Paul, Shakira, One D, Celine Dion... already performed there and sold out the place !)

Lille, Lyon and Strasbourg are also big cities where we can find good places for her to do her ARTPOP Ball

But Paris is still the most touristic, richest, second most populated agglomeration of Europe (after Moscow) and probably has the most influence from Anglophone culture.

I think she is missing a big platform on which to promote... where can she perform a new single for promo? The options open to her are few and far between... unless she utilizes YouTube and controversy... I'm starting to have doubts about the selling power of this tour..

American Idol, Billboard Music Awards, The Ellen Show, late night talk shows.

There are still talkshows, news shows, big platforms, sometimes talent shows, actually enough. You only need 2 big platforms and a commercial for a hit song in the US anyways. For the third single, she could do two talkshow, GMA/Today Show and get a commercial to play the song.

Did you get an F in geography? London, Berlin, Rome, Kiev and Madrid aka bigger cities than Paris say 'hi'.

I think you did. Do you know the difference between an agglomeration and a city? Paris is, in fact, the second most populous agglomeration of Europe, behind Moscow.

what does that means?

An urban agglomeration is a city with all of its suburbs, subcities, etc.

A city is just the city itself.

When looking at tours, it's way more useful to look at agglomerations, because they show how many people live near way better than just the city's population.

I know France is more than just Paris, but Paris is the capital, the most populated city in France, it's world famous for its culture, fashion and overall influence, it's one of the most visited cities in the world and its very name invokes a certain feeling in people. Not to mention, there's a lot of rich people there that will buy expensive tickets for concerts. Going to France but not doing a show in Paris is unthinkable. There are just some countries where if you're touring in them, you have to do a show in a particular city. If you're in the US, you have to do shows in New York City and LA. If you're in the UK, you have to do a show in London. If you're in Japan, you have to do a show in Tokyo. If you're in Australia, you have to do a show in Sydney. And when you're in France, you do a show in Paris. That's just the way things are.

As for other places she could go in France, I think the places you listed are all too close together and too close to Paris. Lille doesn't have an arena, just a stadium, and Gaga's not going to fill that, plus, it's right next to Belgium, meaning that ticket sales for her Antwerp show could be affected. Strasbourg is right next to Germany, very near Koln, which is where she's scheduled for a gig, so once again, ticket sales could be affected. Lyon is actually an ok choice (Halle Tony Garnier is the ideal arena size), but I think she should play it safe and go for even further south in the form of Montpellier at the Park&Suites Arena. I think it's better for her if all her gigs are quite far away from each other. Having gigs a stone's throw away from the next gig means sales aren't evenly distributed.

Agreed. She could do an arena at Bordeaux and Montpellier/Nice/Marseille and of course Paris is obvious.

Only 33 tickets left for the Toronto show

I can't believe she will do an 12k attendance in France  I mean, Park&Suites Arena in Montpellier is perfect and she could add other shows in Paris... I hope there will be a second leg because it's gonna be the smallest tour...

I sorta like that she's doing a small Paris venue. I mean, because of the renos at Bercy I guess she was forced to but it makes the tour interesting.

A tour with consistent sell outs, multiple arena nights, occasional small, special venues and a stadium or two towards the end is great. :flutter:

As long as she adds more than 3 other shows there or add a second european leg after Asia and Latin America

I think the only reason she isn't doing stadiums is because of the stage design. It wouldn't work for a whole stadium. & those definitely aren't her only France shows. She'll probably add 2 more paris dates & maybe even a show in Nice or a Montpellier show

She can't add shows in Paris because there's no space between the dates, after... :/

She could add them the days before, there is a whole week to fill, and it could be with London and Paris. It isn't very common but it happens. 1D had to do that in my country, second date the day before the first
