And it's a whole different story when it song is on the top of the charts and u discount it or release remixes just so u could get that num one ion the hot 100 gaaga never discounted or do remixes when she was on the top if the charts even with MTN she never did that + days is a song that could have a lot of features because the message of the song itself is something that every star could connect with ... It's not like gaga will start remixing with every single from now on ... Who cares why people release the remixes? If Katy or whoever release remixes when the single is already 1 that is clever that way the song still stays atop and is a solid hit. If Lady Gaga releases a remix to help get the song higher on the charts that is clever as well. We all deal with monsters inside ourselves and inside our loved ones, too, so almost anyone can relate to that. Yes, performer vs. audience. But still, how many performers do you know? are you one? Most of the audience are not performers. Now, if she was singing: Give US the Applause, or we'll give you the Applause. To me the song does not interact emotionally with the listeners besides asking them to give her the Applause that she loves. And that's fine, once again, it's just my opinion. How many Performers are there? Tons!! People who are awarded with applause would include those who play any and all sports, cheer, dance, participate in the school or local band or orchestras, do theatre, do martial arts, play instruments, sing in groups and choruses or solo work of any type, individual or group academic competitions... She shouldve released the video after the AMA's so she could be in the top ten then she shouldve released rick ross once it was dying down and performed on the voice and the Xtina remix but nope. As we've seen with recent music videos, streaming on youtube just isn't quite as strong as its been and it's incredibly doubtful that streaming alone will give the song the boost it needs to go top 10. Applause wasn't radio friendly, and she made it radio friendly. DWUW is a very safe track, and has been stuck 15-20s for weeks. Gaga isn't known to release this kind of music, the public would give her a chance with outlandish songs because that's what she's always been known for. Quite obviously she is the artist and he was a manager, both had their own tasks and she needs to stick with hers, it's just not her area of expertise. Besides, she can't do it all at the same time, simply not possible to keep all them balls in the air at the same time as 1 person.
