Luc 4,775
DWUW is so ... wasted I hope MV gives the song a last one push ... Gaga's so influental tbh. Gaga delays a video, and then suddenly Katy does that too FYI, DH video hasn't been shot now (although rumour has it it'll be today)
AURA 2,890
While I can't speak for every song that shared that fate, I would consider Judas and Dope hits for Gaga. The controversy of Judas had people talking for a month or so, and the fact that it's her fourth most watched music video should speak for itself. And Dope raked in a massive amount of views for a live performance in the short period of a week, and had people talking for two or so weeks. Judas was a hit WW, but it wasn't an US hit for sure. Most of Judas' views probably come from outside of the US. I don't consider a song a hit based on whether it gets people talking or not, or if it gathers some streaming (unless it's something like Gangam Style/Call Me Maybe/Harlem Shake/Wrecking Ball), I see a song as a hit if it's successful (sales and views)

Price of Fame 0
Don't forget that, like Katy, Gaga also has 13 Top 10 entries on the Hot 100. 1. Just Dance (#1) 2. Poker Face (#1) 3. LoveGame (#5) 4. Paparazzi (#6) 5. Bad Romance (#2) 6. Telephone (#3) 7. Alejandro (#5) 8. Born This Way (#1) 9. Judas (#10) 10. The Edge Of Glory (#3) 11. Yoü and I (#6) 12. Applause (#4) 13. Dope (#8) Katy may have a few bigger hits, yes, but it's (arguably) important to remember that they have the same amount of hits. BYE @ Dope. Lord knows that one isn't legit. I didn't realize that her BTW discography peaked so highly though. She still had the GP to some extent even back then when her "downfall" was supposedly starting. Judas was a big streaming hit, especially in Japan (mainly due to her visits/donations/positive press in 2011), Brazil and Mexico. But the US, despite having a 320M+ population, isn't even in the Top 3 of the country with the most views on the Judas video. BYE @ Dope. Lord knows that one isn't legit. I didn't realize that her BTW discography peaked so highly though. She still had the GP to some extent even back then when her "downfall" was supposedly starting. Her digital power used to be much bigger. Yoü and I had a 60M AI peak, but sold 2M+. imo what mostly hurt her is the boringness of the ARTPOP era, and the controversies in 2012 (fur, hypocrite, tour having half empty venues in some countries, smoking weed, media silences, princces high, princess die, disney princess high, etc.)
Pure Adrenaline 1,518
It makes me wonder tho, before I was Gaga fan and my daughter liked Katy I only remembered, I kissed a Girl, California Girls and Fireworks from her discography. The songs, even tho they are maybe number one, they just don't seem to stick very long or become iconic If she had 9 and I only remember 3 (even tho I listen radio 8 hours a day) that means I don't remember the majority of her songs. Gaga her songs, even tho she didn't rub me the right way I remember many more, just because they had something that made it impossible to forget them. Just Dance, Pokerface, Disco Stick, Judas, Alejandro, Born this Way, Marry the Night were the ones I remembered without being a fan and they were never number 1 hits (some) nnnnn gurl It's much more fun to have hizophrenia... u never get lonely
Pop Art 1,773
I didn't realize that her BTW discography peaked so highly though. She still had the GP to some extent even back then when her "downfall" was supposedly starting. People forget that she had every single person by the weave at the beginning of the Born This Way era. She was inescapable. The hype for both the single and the album was bigger than what I've seen for any other single or album. If The Edge Of Glory had been the second single, it would have gone #1, no questions asked.

Gypsy Life 118,907
Random but: With Roar, Uncle & DH, Katy boosted her total singles sales in the US from 49.9m to 58m With Applause & DWUW, Gaga boosted her total singles sales in the US from 46.3m to 50m With PRISM, Katy boosted her total US album sales from 4.3m to 5.4m With ARTPOP, Gaga boosted her total US album sales from 8.8m to 9.5m I wonder if she'll reach 10m albums by the end of the era
VforVendetta 2,024
Not People declaring Katy the artist of this decade. The most commercial, probably, even though Adele disagrees, she is not even close to be the artist symbol of this decade, Gaga, Adele, Rihanna and maybe even Bruno Mars are above her and whoever disgrees with that can't see nothing behind no.1s.
