Whispering 18,865
It's sad that Gaga skipped the grammys. It could have been great exposure for the next single, specially since she's been kind of away for a while. She didn't skip the Grammys. She didn't get invited to perform. MonsterMum 2,532
Fixed Thanks! Did my eyes see correctly that Katy gone another year without a Grammy?
Stefani328 321
Thanks! Did my eyes see correctly that Katy gone another year without a Grammy? Lorde beat her in both categories.
Luc 4,775
20. Best Urban Contemporary Album: "Unapologetic," Rihanna The bias. I'm not even interested in this genre but I'm quite sure Rih shouldn't have won this..
Whispering 18,865
As I've earlier mentioned, doesn't comparing past achievements with current ones seem unfair? If we're here to gauge who's bigger, chart-wise, comparing the sales of their latest records, their current recognitions, and their touring receipts afterwards would be most effective and more importantly unbiased. She's at her peak. How is she doing at her peak? Is her tour going to compare to the top tours of the past year or two? Others are still doing better than her at their current states, in touring and/or album sales. Adele, Taylor, 1D, Pink, Beyonce, JT... Katy is not "the biggest". Most of these artists have also won multiple Grammys.
craig 680
20. Best Urban Contemporary Album: "Unapologetic," Rihanna The bias. I'm not even interested in this genre but I'm quite sure Rih shouldn't have won this.. Grammies are set up so their are tons of opportunities for stars in black music to win.See Chris Brown a couple years back. But if you're a white pop girl you gotta compete with Adele and Lorde and can't even win in the dance category anymore.
Bye 3,947
So happy Katy didn't win a Grammy I fast forwarded the youtube vid of DH performance. Looked flawless. Gaga's looking like a second rate star not being at the Grammys where everyone was :emo:
Griffin 6
I hope Find You is Zedd's third Top 10 radio hit. It's a fantastic song.
craig 680
Drunk in Love now #28 in Canada and #16 US. Gaga gets better performance boosts than that.
APPLAUSE4YOU 418
Drunk in Love now #28 in Canada and #16 US. Gaga gets better performance boosts than that. That performance was pretty boring though.
Mills 446
She's at her peak. How is she doing at her peak? Is her tour going to compare to the top tours of the past year or two? Others are still doing better than her at their current states, in touring and/or album sales. Adele, Taylor, 1D, Pink, Beyonce, JT... Katy is not "the biggest". Most of these artists have also won multiple Grammys. She's ahead in terms of overall digital sales. Hence, I pointed out that she's the biggest at the moment if we've to base it on the current chart positions on iTunes. I'd rather wait for the final tour receipts of PRISM and see how it'll perform compared to the tours of her contemporaries (i.e. Rihanna, LG, Bieber, or any major pop star who came in the late 2000s). And since this is purely centered to commercial success, I believe the number of GRAMMYs or awards in general other than the sales-based ones are better not to be factored in. Essence 237
Katy's performance was great, she definitly deserves all the praise for performing eventhough she knows her vocals aren't great. But the DH performance was just great. Let's be honest here. Katy's performances have been better visually this era compared to Gags Katy's performances have been huge productions, but they still don't even come close to Gaga. The focus is never Katy Perry, it's all the surrounding stuff.
Luc 4,775
I hope the bangerz tour flops. Arena in this country is like 65% sold only
