it's great that it's still top 50 since it was in the 100 in the last week

ARTPOP is #41 now, and yes, it's discounted. 

And when you go on iTunes there's the section with Grammy nominees and PRISM is there, so i guess that will help the sales.

Is it possible for some WW act to perform at the Eurovision as a Guest?

Probably not, and it'd cause a lot of controversy because lots of people see it as a European tradition. But they could use Gaga songs as background music during the intervals

I've been reading this forum for a while but finally felt like making an account.  I have to say, this thread is basically the personification of everything wrong with "The Monster" fanbase. It's really not a surprise that it's the most hated of the pop girls

 

I love Lady Gaga and I love her music. Yes, I wish she was having a more successful era in terms of both her music and her personal relationships, but all I can do is buy her music and support her` and hope that she'll bounce back 

 

But, I CERTAINLY do not feel the need to constantly and consistently bring Katy Perry or other artists into the discussion for no reason other than to bash them. You know who you are. All stanbases do this, of course, but I have never seen as bad as I have on this forum and especially this thread. Katy Perry is having a great era! Two great ones back to back actually, great for her! Even if you don't like her the need to downplay her successes and try to make it seem as if Gaga is still the bigger star at the moment (or that "nobody cares about Katy", that's a popular one) is delusional and quite frankly pathetic. 

 

Hell, some of you are so negative now that you just drag Gaga now. Apparently the other pop girls just aren't enough. 

 

We saw what happened with Roar vs Applause, we saw what happened with Prism vs ARTPOP (The Monsters were hideously obnoxious about both as we all know). When will we learn to keep it cute? Support Gaga and her music, don't bash other artists because you are jealous of their successes. It only creates more hate for the fanbase. And that's something that definitely isn't needed right now or ever.

Most uber-successful pop girls have a solid producer behind then, it's not Katy's fault Gaga broke away from RedOne.

Well Gaga isn't at her peak right now. Katy is. So unless Prism goes on to sell 4M copies in the US, the tour grosses more than 200M and next year she wins 5 Grammys, we'll be fine

Basically this.

 

At her peak, Katy is still mostly a singles artist. Those hit singles are giving her decent to good album numbers overall. (depending on the country) She isn't having album sales like Adele, Bey, 1D or even Gaga did at their peaks. Her tour isn't on the scale of Gaga's at her peak or at 1Ds or Bey's. She isn't showing WW dominance in album numbers and she isn't touring stadiums overseas.

 

Unless Katy has yet to peak, and she will selling 4 million in the US and touring at 200M in the near future, then she hasn't reached the level that Gaga and some of the above artists have reached on a WW scope. Maybe next era...

Katy will peak and when she will peak there will he only one way for her, down. She is a product, she can't become the face of the 10's even with all the no.1 in the world. She is a hit machine but there is no person behing the hits.
