Applause wasn't radio friendly, and she made it radio friendly. DWUW is a very safe track, and has been stuck 15-20s for weeks. Gaga isn't known to release this kind of music, the public would give her a chance with outlandish songs because that's what she's always been known for. Judas and MTN were flops because Judas referenced religion, and MTN was too personal to relate. Venus is generally about s-x and love. I love DWUW it's one of the best songs on the album, but it's a safe song. To have a hit like DWUW fail to smash goes to show how the majority just don't want more Gaga and that's why a risky choice such as Venus could have done wonders by smashing hard. But before I have a meltdown, I shall wait for the video (1 more month of waiting seems about right yes? ) ... Venus is my favorite on the album though ... LaXian 25 Posted December 23, 2013 Share Posted December 23, 2013 I played the album to a group of my friends, 3 of them I highly consider GP due to the fact that they belong to no fanbase whatsoever, and jump on the bandwagon people consider being a hit ... All of them said, they liked Venus and Gypsy the most, and some even liked Sexxx Dreams but feels it's too s-xual and can't imagine it playing on the radio ... But as for the rest of the album, they said it was hard listening to it ... ... But sadly that makes sense though ... Despite most of them making the "Take me to you Penis" joke, they liked the song none the less ... I would like to see the rest of the GP's reaction to some of these songs, all of them could be major hits or major let downs imo Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
