Mariano 958 Posted January 9, 2014 Share Posted January 9, 2014 Don't expect Katy's next album to perform bad ... besides the big hits and good album sales she has now, she also has the media calling Roar her biggest hit (even tho It was 2 weeks old at the VMAs) and they are calling her the New Pop Queen or the Hottest Pop Star in the wold + she is also going to have her biggest tour yet (California Dreams was not that big and they didn't care much) but with PRISM they are going to make the tour huge (which means they are aiming for 80-90M at the least)... He could have picked any other dark haired pretty girl with nice tits, no dancing skills, mediocre voice and we'd be in the same situation. Unless she ended up in rehab with an eating disorder. Katy is probably going to give him the most SINGLE sales out of any other artist. Katy brought nothin new to the table though, she lucked out with I Kissed A Girl which was s-xy and then when she got the attention Luke continued with his usual commercial hits and she became bigger and bigger. Klou 2,414 Posted January 9, 2014 Share Posted January 9, 2014 Katy's success is only logical, the girl is one hit machine her first album had 2 number 1s and both songs managed to do mildly well outside us, and a pop number 1 in the us her 2nd album(including the re-release) had 6 SIX S-I-X NUMBER 1s and the other 2 songs were NUMBER 2 i mean, single-wise she completely distroyed every other girl out there, she became one of toughest and most consistent radio POWER(if not the biggest, i mean rihanna is HUge but she always has like 1-2 flop singles per era and so does Taylor whilst Katy....even uncle performed VERY well on radio until they decided to drop it) so now she has roar and dark horse is on its way the girl is the ULTIMATE single force right now in the business, people seem to NOT get tired of the californian sound and production behind the katy machine i'd say by her next album people will get tired but i said that the last time and look how that turned out Just a couple corrections, but One of the Boys only had one #1 (Hot n Cold peaked at #3) and The One That Got Away peaked at #3. But yeah, she's unstoppable. I will admit it's nice to see her topping the charts with a song that is actually unique for onces (Dark Horse).
