ThisGuyTony 35,755 Posted yesterday at 02:05 AM Share Posted yesterday at 02:05 AM I saw a thread wondering which celebs/artists will be left behind this decade and be forgotten in the 2030’s. I think: Ice Spice (no explanation needed) Ella Langley (one hit wonder regardless of “broken records”) Tate McRae (depends on the next era but not looking promising) Ed Sheeran (downfall accelerated due to Palestine controversy) Ava Max (already forgotten)
bxr 3,450 Posted yesterday at 02:14 AM Share Posted yesterday at 02:14 AM Good question! Might be more streamlined to consider which “celebrities” will maintain relevance in the 2030s, though … This decade might be historically significant for housing the collapse of celebrity culture in the modern sense … or the climax of fame not as a result of ostensible talent or aptitude, but rather fame as a comparatively inconsequential goal unto itself Feels like the Gilded 20s 2.0, but generating less cultural icon longevity (maybe, of course, only time will tell) This might read as a wall of words … but, it is what it is … I’m just musing salt grains into the airwaves; solid question, though!
Sepsami 21,222
So many of the current mainstream acts lack personality, I think Sombr has the most star power we've seen in a while, he's unafraid to be himself and be weird and also makes great music. All the rest I'm so unimpressed with.. Though Chapell is kind of an icon ngl, even if she's never popular again she was atleast authentic. That's the record.
