It wasn't this song that made me like her, I thought this was too basic a pop song but her entire album was a lot better. She had a mature soulful voice for 16 and she was really different from the other pop girls in 2008. But after her label forced her to be more uptempo pop and sexual with her next album, her success fell off a cliff and she was dropped. She came back some years later with her independent album that told the real story and it was quite a tragic tale really. She put out her first album in 13 years last week and it was fairly decent (check it out, @KLAUS). Her song, No To A King was a brilliant take on these greedy label bosses. I think her lack of success after she was forced into changing just shows that labels, like Gaga said, sometimes don't know what the f**k they're doing.
