Lady 748
She needs a song that will help her sell her albums. I don't want this era to end as quickly as the BTW. I just can't watch another Gaga era end so quickly because of poor management and single choices. As we can see from other artists that are selling extremely well, they have promo and at least a song in the Top 10. A successful or moderate hit will sell albums. I really hope that they and specifically Gaga have actually learnt from the BTW era... I can't decide just yet if they have or not, it's kinda this 50/50 situation at the moment for me , but their third single choice and the promo coming with it will give me an answer... Pffff, like I'm some kind of an expert and actually know how these things work, but when it comes to the most important factor, the music itself, then at least we all have ears and can actually hear which songs are generally more likeable than the others on this album, so... Bt1 5,213
We will probably have Dark horse video before Dwuw. Anyway, look how Capitol handle it Dark horse. They saw the signs and just agree with this smash happening, even if Katy like it more Unconditionally, which I still think its the better song. That makes it a good label. And look how good Gypsy was until now. You will believe that Interscope can see that and not think on another single, but no. Venus has chances to be the next single. Even if Gaga wants it, there isnt a logical reason for why they wouldnt choose Gypsy as the third single. Even if Gaga wants Venus, there isnt a reason why it wants it next. The video is there. She performed the song several times. It shined and they can try make it shine even more as the forth single. But let Gypsy be the next single. Raw 0
Hey does anyone know if Gaga is performing at the Grammys? I was watching people's choice awards and a Grammy commercial was shown saying katy perry, lorde, macklemore, P!nk, Taylor and others were performing but no Gaga. I thought I heard she was performing???
ctherainbow 3,162
I'd say no. But that probably means they're getting ready to put it in PR next week. :excited2: I'm talkin' 'bout forever, baby.

If Gaga wants Venus she will release Venus, this is the true artist. I prefer that over a complete pupet that can't support her own vision and sacrifices everything for success. Gaga has also done a lot of choices for success but she hasn't sacrifced everything for it and she always takes her risks, unlike Katy.

It can always be the forth single. Choosing another song written by her, that the public seems to like more, doesnt make her a puppet, but a smart commercial artist. From what we know, Gaga also want it Dwuw and look how it turn out. Thing is that Katy is label's puppet and Gaga isn't. No. Katy released Unconditionally because she want it. Gaga did the same with Dwuw. But sometimes the public is choosing and its stupid to go againt that.
Mariano 958
I agree Katy right is still heavily controlled by her label but PRISM is her "BTW" era as she have a bit more control now as she is at the top of her game ... She said months ago that Unconditionally is her favourite song ... They could've released DH, WA Birthday and any song would've performed better than Uncle ... We don't know how Venus will perform and we don't know how Gypsy will perform either. Even if Gaga's choices aren't the best for us, they're her choices so they weight more than anyone else's and we should repsect that. Sorry, but I cant respect in million years what happened with Dwuw. I dont know what will happen with Venus, if its released as a single, but I would have respect for it only if it deserves it. Gaga shouldnt have any problem with any song beeing a single, because she writes her music anyway.
