Mills 446
Same.. I mean the song is good and although I dislike Katy, why do I have to reach for the stars that the song will be local ... I mean Blurred Lines was also local, but It's still one of the biggest hits WW this year .. How was Blurred Lines "local"? I believe it was #1 in over 20 countries. craig 680
If random "The Voice" songs can go from being nonexistent on itunes to sky rocketing to top ten a couple of hours after the show then DWUW with average day sales + The Voice promo sales will certainly give the song the top 10 treatment, for a day at least... I'm staying positive. Key factor - The Voice has an audience habituated to buying itunes after the show. Otherwise I'd be pessimistic about a big bounce, since it's been performed on SNL and AMAs. Also general sales are so low, doesn't take a lot to have a big impact.
Lady 748
Blurred Lines was one of the most global hits this year. It was everywhere and in everyone's head also in Europe. There wasn't a minute when I didn't hear the song on the radio.
Mills 446
Anyway, I didn't realize that B.o.B has released a new album. The last time I've heard about him was with the remix of KP's TOTGA.
BLACKOUTbritney 22,369
I said that because of I'm not mistaken DH was already the second single in Australia and New Zealand and already peaked there. It wasn't Capitol's choice but radio's choice. Radios were playing DH there as if it's the second single and paid dust to Uncle, which is why it bombed there. It peaked at 3 on ITunes but has only charted in the Australian digital chart, I don't know why tho. Yeah uncle only peaked at 11 because she performed it on the biggest contest show in Australia
Mariano 958
join the club How was Blurred Lines "local"? I believe it was #1 in over 20 countries. really I thought It was more orientated to USA, UK and Australia ... I am in Europe (While BL was smashing I was in Bulgaria and not many people knew the song, and then I moved to Netherlands and here more people know the song but still .. ) I know It had success everywhere but compared to the USA the song was more local ... The biggest success of the song is in USA UK and AUS ... That for me is a bit local and local doesn't mean a song flopped or something just means that It was more successful in English speaking countries ... But If It was number 1 in 20 countries then

With these songs entering the top upper half of iTunes mainly because of the broadcast, it's more than clear and definite that the program has an audience that actually buys music, in the same on how Idol was during the early 2000s. There will be a huge demand for the song .. Either Tuesday night or Wednesday morning is perfect ... any later than that is a **** OFF from me to Interscope ! Luc 4,775
It'll be a hit in English speaking countries. That's US + Canada + Australia. Nowhere else. Also considering AUS + NZ are Katy's biggest supporters, everything she releases there will become a hit. Except for Hong Kong-ditionally
