J&D is commercial but Gag hasn't done something like this before so it's accepted, at least for me.. Beyonce album is pure beyonce recycled music, form start to the bottom so let's not... I can understand about Aura and Venus, I mean being messy is not even a bad thing you know ... But let's not with BEYONCE , her album is amazing (I am not even sure If you listened to it and watched the videos ) And the album have such amazing beats and melodies ... In ATRL I just said that my top 3 albums this year are: 1.ARTPOP 2. Beyonce 3. Drake But right now I feel like BEYONCE is better than ARTPOP, the only reason I have for not putting it above ARTPOP is that I am still carring all the hype surrounding Beyonce, and I am waiting to see whether my opinion will change in a few weeks ... I guess they really didn't like the music .. I don't agree with this. Have you read some of the negative reviews? They are ALL about her an not the music. ARTPOP is the best song of Gaga's career, the rest of the album is just... all about s-x tbh. Venus does have a meaning, it's all about an orgasm/s-x: just look at the way Gaga described the chorus before its release. I really want Gaga to go to Columbia or whatever that label is called. Artists seem to have even more artistic freedom there. Exactly and I'm sure that those silent heehee's and the cuts in the chorus wasn't something Gaga wanted because the album version much more pop that the live version that she gave on Swinefest. And it was true that telephone was Britney left over but at least Gaga backed the song with great visuals and concept and made iconic video. Mariano was saying that u can't hype ur album being artisting revolution in the music world, saying that it is reverse warholian experience and then put song like J&D on it it just so clearly that the label wanted features on the labum so it could match more audience interest. She chooses a particular song, not a popular '90 dance beat. For the rest I already said what I think about the concept and I'm kind of agree for some points... But it's interesting how now all the tracks are not good, and when they came out everybody were screaming like bottoms 'I love Donatella', 'Perfect', 'Goddess', 'Venus best track evah'... I am sure that Act 2 will be better (unless she just put on the Act2 the songs she already have made during these messy times with Troy etc..) Born This Way as a whole have this 70s feeling which makes it more cohesive even tho It's messy and a lot of critics have praised BTW's messines, while ARTPOP is messy in another way.. I guess they really didn't like the music .. And how is Gaga showing her vision clearly in ARTPOP ? What is J&D about and the most important thing how It even fits in the whole ARTPOP theme ? What about Donatella ? ( i love it but still..) Venus is great but the lyrics have 0 meaning... There should've been more songs like ARTPOP on the album ( And I am sure that at first It was supposed to be like that, until Troy started messing Gaga's plans) I am gonna repeat this again - Gaga said that the songs are longer just 2 months before the album release and that are not made for radio .. then suddenly all of the tracks are less than 4 minutes .. This alone shows that there were major changes in Gaga's creative plans shortly before the album release ... And another thing for Gaga and Troy to split (probably the most successful collab between Artist and Manager for the last 5-10 years .. or maybe we can add Justin Bieber and his manager also, but still) there happened something really big between them .... not you posting my words 1 min before me ARTPOP is neither messy nor awesome. It is a great pop album that the critics bashed because first of all they hated with capital HATED the usage of ART in the title and the lyrics are horrible indeed. It deserves good reviews but it's not the second coming of Jesus. beyonce just put the expectations very low and gave something good. Gaga put the expectations to the moon and gave something amazing(for me). gaga's album wasn't what she was saying but it was better that everything else. When you put high goals, you have a big possibility to not reach them, but you will reach higher goals than the other one that will put low goals and will reach them. Of course the one with low goals lives the betteri impression in the beginning but the curtains fal as time passes and the good always shines brighter.
