She's done MUCH MORE than ANY pop star has ever done to try and stop their fans from being complete a**holes on the Internet. She only ever needed to say it once, but if she says it any more she's going to sound like a fvcking mom. It's embarrassing listening to her "tell off" the fans who can't act like normal human beings. It was never her responsibility to begin with.

I really respect this and appreciate her devotion to this but it's really not going to do much. The internet has never been a safe wonderful place. It's great she posted this because it will no doubt convince some of her fans to think before they post something but at the same time there will always be hatred throughout the internet. People are entitled to their own opinions whether it be harsh or nice. It's been like this since the 90s and hasn't changed much so I don't think it will be any different ten years from now unless the internet gets more restricted.

 

Where are we right now?  We are on the internet!  And what have we been doing for four years? Kicking haters and disrespectful people off this site.  It's not impossible to create safe and fun environments on the internet.   :)

Exactly. I honestly think that many "fans" on this site now are just looking for any excuse to go against her and to call her a hypocrite. It makes me really angry. If you were really her fan you would support her no matter what and not add to the already huge numbers of people trying to bring her down.
