Do What U Want is a slow groove R&B song with pop influnces, so cholography wise there's not much dancing that you can do to it that won't look a bit awkward or out of place, plus she's singing at the top of her vocal range throughout the song. Agree. I would rather her vocals be on point. She can still do choreography but if she does too much her vocals won't sound as good, like at artRave, the prelude to the DWUW " do what you want, what you want with the last song, it won't be wrong" and the " oh yeah" sounded so good. The piano version is so damn boring to me, and almost depressing. The studio version has a sense of power and hope in its instrumentation that you may not be hearing. They do and they'll probably get the chance to hear those performances when it's the official single and she's promoting it. But if she does the studio version on SNL, I won't mind and it'll be a surprise to me since I'm almost certain(gut feeling) she'll do it slow, since the "public" as a whole seem to appreciate stripped down Gaga very much, so she might want to play on that Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Boring my ass, though. The GP responds REALLY well to anything that's stripped down. And like we all know, Howard Stern's audience went crazy over Gypsy acoustic. Gypsy is really the only song, so far, that shows the greatness of her voice. Since DWUW is the official single, it'll probably be a studio version. It's only logical that Gypsy would be acoustic. And like you said, Gypsy will have plenty of promotional spots when it's an actual single, but for now I prefer that she express it in its raw form so that it still has more to give by the time she has to perform it for the Grammys or whatever.
