Magoo 6
whoa Lady Gaga's "Dope" storms onto the Hot 100 at No. 8, fueled most heavily by its No. 1 arrival on Streaming Songs (marking her first leader on the list) with 8.2 million first-week streams; 95% of that sum stems from YouTube (non-VEVO) views of the live video of Gaga performing "Dope" at the YouTube Music Awards on Nov. 3. The ballad also begins on Digital Songs at No. 60 with 31,000 downloads sold.
craig 680
Which is great, im sure SNL will be amazing i dont doubt that. she is very funny and itll be nice to see it on TV for once. but no morning shows? not a single one? no prime TV slots at all? i dont get it She did Howard Stern. And it's not like she gives huge advance notice of every promo appearance.

Torontomonster 0
which im sure shes had booked for months, and i guess despite YEARS of planning this album cycle, she only had this very week to prepare You clearly don`t understand how SNL works... Yes they book performers in advance, but each week they work with the guest host for the upcoming Sat show to create, write and rehearse all the skits for the show from scratch for that weekend. There is absolutely no way to prepare for a hosting gig in advance of the week its airs, because each week is devoted to working with the immediately upcoming host for their episode that week. There is a documentary on SNL that shows how each day they pitch and discuss skits, then have to have costumes and sets made, then rehearse, all in time to pull off the show LIVE that Saturday. It is all consuming time-wise all week, and often they go into the wee hours each night. She would have VERY little time to do anything else because she is hosting this weekend. So don`t criticize her for not preparing in advance when that`s NOT how SNL operates.
Just A Holy Fool 2,633
She'll need that Dope when they end up dropping her after this album This is going to be the promo next album cycle....
Gilly 475
and you're making my point for me. she hasnt done enough promotion period it's okay, when she misses #1 in a bunch of countries due to a lack of promotion, I won't need to argue with you. Numbers speak louder than words. #1's aren't my priority though. I care about sales in the long run. At this point, debut week shouldn't even matter. DWUW is gonna smash and it will sell the album. There's literally nothing to worry about lol. If anything, Gaga is probably just waiting to promote the album when it ACTUALLY needs promotion (meaning, not in its debut week, when sales will be high regardless of promo). But whatever, you can stay b---hing from the bleachers.
