AgusPop 4,141
Unless that means she barely sold any physical copies at all? but why is #25 best seller 2013 in Amazon?
AURA 2,890
Thank god Lorde turned down Katy's offer to be her opening act. Now Gaga can take that slot oh my god
Bad 32
So, Explain me this: ARTPOP had 100K pre-orders, Its #1 in Amazon, Its #25 best seller of 2013 in Amazon, Eminem is #52 Its #1 in iTunes right now. According to the rule 40/60, 270K is 108K Digitals + 162K Physicals So, How will it sell only 8.000 digitals in 7 days? 40/60 isn't a rule that's set in stone. There are exceptions. Eminem sold 457k digital albums this week, out of 792k copies. That's roughly 58% digital vs 42% physical.

Torontomonster 0
Maybe this isn't so surprising. When she was about the launch BTW, she was coming off her peak success era of TFM and everyone loved her, and KP was the underdog. The GP was totally waiting for her next album, and so the single BTW was a big hit and BTW album was a huge initial success. But then the BTW did not turn out to be as successful, and instead Katy Perry's TD took over, and she because the dominant pop girl that era (as her singles and ultimate CD sales attest). So this time around, the GP was here for KP's next album and Gaga is the underdog, and that was proven by Roar's massive success. So maybe we should have expected Prism to open higher than ARTPOP, because KP is coming from a dominant era, and even though Prism's number were low, maybe it isn't a surprise that it might open higher than ARTPOP. But at the end of it all, ARTPOP may have the longevity. Gaga just needs to win people back, its a rebuilding year, and she's off to a good start with the singles released so far, and great singles to come.
