KingAlanI 3
Are male tributes usually shaved for the Games, or is it a coincidence that Josh/Peeta looked that way?
Pookie 5
Speaking of Liam, I still can't believe that ridiculous article that said Jennifer Lawrence is too fat to play Katniss and yet they didn't comment on how beefy he is to be playing a starving kid. The only thing I notices about JL/Katniss was her shiny expensive nice looking jacket and boots in the woods ha.
MuffinMan 3
Are male tributes usually shaved for the Games, or is it a coincidence that Josh/Peeta looked that way? In the book Katniss wondered if the males were injected something so they didn't grow beards; because a lot were old enough to do so.
KingAlanI 3
In the book Katniss wondered if the males were injected something so they didn't grow beards; because a lot were old enough to do so. hadn't thought of that. the issue came to mind because most actor pics in the thread look clean-shaven. it seemed like shaving is the main thing stylist/prep team could do for the guys (AFAIK, stylist/prep team are assigned per district, not per tribute). In Catching Fire during the Victory Tour, Katniss complains that Peeta gets to sleep in while she's up early and getting fussed with. Speaking of Liam, I still can't believe that ridiculous article that said Jennifer Lawrence is too fat to play Katniss and yet they didn't comment on how beefy he is to be playing a starving kid. The only thing I notices about JL/Katniss was her shiny expensive nice looking jacket and boots in the woods ha. yeah, one can tell it's s-xist because the guys didn't receive the same complaints. Katniss and Gale are relatively healthy from hunting anyway. my main thought about Jen's acting: she usually acted Katniss' age, but it occasionally showed that she's a few years older, particularly in the scenes with Rue. With fiction in general, many youth characters seem older (but many adult characters are idealized too). The leather hunting jacket is a memento of her father. (the boots too?) At one point she was, yeah, but that's because her family was still dependent on her father. She was now able to capture all the food she needed, and I'm sure that let her family eat well. I thought Jennifer was the perfect size for Katniss.
Doug 186
I love the book trilogy so much. And this is the reason why I enjoyed the movie Preach gurl. There was no other reason for me being in that theater either tbqh :nacho:

Galactic Mess 1,393
The movie is SO DAMN GOOD. I need to read the books, like, NOW. Unfortunately, the library near my house only has the third book, and I'm too lazy to go look for the second one somewhere else...
Ellie Goulding 8
The movie is SO DAMN GOOD. I need to read the books, like, NOW. Unfortunately, the library near my house only has the third book, and I'm too lazy to go look for the second one somewhere else... The second book is the best. You need to read it ASAP! And don't even think about reading Mockingjay before Catching Fire like some people. You can't ruin the amazing experience of MJ
KingAlanI 3
The movie is SO DAMN GOOD. I need to read the books, like, NOW. Unfortunately, the library near my house only has the third book, and I'm too lazy to go look for the second one somewhere else... With you on this. After the movie, I wanted to read the books ASAP. The local library didn't have any. However, I was able to figure out which other libraries in the area did have them, so I knew where to travel to. In my area, all the libraries in the county are part of the same system I'd check out the 3rd book while you can, so you don't have to look for it again after you find the 2nd. The second book is the best. You need to read it ASAP! And don't even think about reading Mockingjay before Catching Fire like some people. You can't ruin the amazing experience of MJ  I agree, read the 2nd book before the 3rd. I would like to read the 1st book sometime, but I was able to follow the 2nd book based on the 1st movie Blown away. Speechless. The movie (as the books) was so thought-provoking and it felt so freakishly real, the cast was splendid. The scene with Rue left me with a lump in my throat. Job amazingly well done.
