Underwhelming. The beats and synths are entrancing and over the top, but they outshine her vocals which, as others have said, are pretty much inaudible.

Cool to hear everyones' opinions. Mine? I LOVE MJH! Holy crap, was not expecting to love this song! This might be one of my favs on the album. The end of the bridge just clicks for me. I really really like that end bridge build up. Chorus isn't pop-y it's all EDM/Madeon delish. LOVING THIS.

Madeon does amazing work on his own but I think Gaga had the reverse effect on him that she did on RedOne. She brought the best out of RedOne and elevated his production but here it sounds... Not so good. I'm sorry, don't kill me. I didn't know what to expect but at least it's a nice companion to Sexxx Dreams. They sound very similar but I prefer Sexxx Dreams. What happened to Madeon songs like Icarus and his Pop Culture mashup? I thought MJH would sound more like his usual style.

I'm sure you know this, but anticipating a producer's "usual style" sets you up for a bummer.

Gaga wrote a shredder about d--gs, so the production is going to be ragged and explosive. All of her songs are "in character" this way.

P.S. - This isn't directed at you, but any complaints about "Mary Jane Holland" coming off like a Broadway number are, like... out of touch? She's a living Broadway show, guys. I would evaluate any Gaga song on two critera: 1) does it make you feel something, and 2) are you meeting the intelligence behind it halfway? There's a reason Gaga's d--g anthem sounds like a carnival tripping on rock 'n roll steroids, people.

Okay, let's correct my original post. I was expecting "more of" his unique style in it. It sounds like Sexxx Dreams' little sister, and not necessarily in a good way (in my opinion). If it's Madeon, I want to hear Madeon's unique stamp on it, not a song that could have been done by DJWS. I have no problem with her being theatrical, I love it. In fact, the breakdown is the only part of it I love.

Basically the vocals and lyrics and overall vibe is good but the beat is too loud and pretty much makes it unlistenable.i really don't feel like struggling to hear the words of a song. it's not a bad song but a obnoxious as far as production goes. sounds like a pretty cool song to listen to at a party tho! :)

I like this song better than the rest and I like the song ARTPOP. But, this song sounds like some other old song, I just haven't placed it yet and it sounds like it is maybe a bit messy with too many changes. We shall see. At least I may like two songs so far.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.
