US Charts Discussion - DWUW IMPACTS RADIO TODAY! (11/5)

Though that's true, I think the release of DWUW makes it equally unique too, well in terms of being a Gaga single. Like some have already pointed out, an R&B/Pop collaboration from her isn't something she offers in a regular basis, hence making it unique. The initial reception was that DWUW didn't sound like a Gaga song, whereas Venus screams Gaga all over it.

We could take Judas and TEOG for example. Isn't it the same situation for DWUW and Venus right now? Judas was BR 2.0 but TEOG was something "new" from her. And that something "new" was widely well-received. That's why I'm supporting DWUW too. It's something "new" for a Gaga single. And that could lead to better horizons, if handled properly.

Except for that people actually bought TeoG first-week.

DWYW is a second single. Why all this arguing :smh:

It's not, if they chose DWUW because of good reception, Venus just needs to have better reception :ARTPOP:

Because some people actually believe Interscope will change their minds again. Even though DWUW is already getting substantial airplay  :lmao:

Agreed. Have it not been supported by a huge opening week sales, it would have never entered the top 5 of the HOT 100. I must admit that. But it did get a great response from radio, which kept it to stay longer in the top 10 - even longer than BTW, if I remember it correctly. I'm hoping the same for DWUW. Venus may get all the support from the fanbase and all the buzz for being the single produced by Gaga, but let's see. Once it's released on iTunes and how would it compare to DWUW's performance, we'll know better.

Venus will automatically have better reception because more people have preordered it since last week.

It was the reviews about the daring genre swap that changed her mind, apparently.

Robotboy

well they ruined the hype and radio deal with venus on the release date and all so yeah that is gone.. i wish they didnt release it on iTunes so that it would be the 3rd or 4th single after gypsy instead. now it might not ever be a single but ATLEAST we get the video.

Remember that you are unique. Like everyone else.
