nick4bty 2,758
"It's not even a great song" Good song, not great. Probably on par with the 12 second G.U.Y snippet. I guess I prefer Gaga when she's coherent

nick4bty 2,758
tbh im happy DWUW is second single, amazing song, crossover appeal and it sounds amazing  And it will SELL ALBUMS, something Venus wouldn't do.
kayokoh 0
The subject matter is why radio was hesitant to play it. It flopped because no one wanted to buy it, because it was (still is) disjointed and lyrically awkward. I just see no "smash" potential in Venus. At all. It's not even a great song. The verses slay, but the chorus kinda sucks and like many others have said, it sounds like three different songs in one. Agree about Judas. But I disagree with regards to the Venus chorus. It's definitely one of the catchier ones she's done in a while.
ryhanna 3,507
Venus will top Bad romance i shall say then, And no DWUW is NOT Poker face, it already free falled in the iTunes charts Stop insinuating that DWUW is flopping. You'll see, you'll ALL see.

nick4bty 2,758
Agree about Judas. But I disagree with regards to the Venus chorus. It's definitely one of the catchier ones she's done in a while. The pre-chorus builds up for a HUGE chorus, but then it just dies. The verses are like the huge crowd waiting to get inside the club, the pre-chorus is the dance floor with people having the ****ing night of their lives, and the chorus is that guy just sitting at the bar chilling, watching the people pass by. That's how I imagine this song lol

Vanilla 660
It'll be interesting to see how she performs DWUW without R.Kelly. It's too long to do what she does with Telephone I won't die, but I can't live without you

That's how I imagine this song lol The chorus/post-chorus sounds anthemic, but then that's me. The song is far from cohesive, but the chorus is definitely a strength, and makes much more sense than the nonsensical lyrics of the verses.
Bitter 3,640
DWYW will smash in the US but i don't see it becoming a hit ww whereas venus will smash ww. Gaga should release both songs, one international -venus- and dwyw as a US single.
