It tells people ARTPOP is more than just another album of dance pop. I don't understand how this forum is simultaneously convinced that song was only picked for chart success and that it was a terrible decision from a chart success standpoint. I think it stems more from a place of shock...most fans were HIGHLY anticipating VENUS, but she didn't give us any headsup and just changed it 5 days before we were supposed to officially get it as a 2nd single. Plus, that means we have to wait for the music video, won't hear it on radio, and won't see an era for a while...DWUW definitely shows a side AND sound of Gaga that the GP hasn't heard. Plus, she's OFFICIALLY releasing it Nov. 5th...so all of the sales and radio play won't mean anything UNTIL that day... What makes it worse is that the album will already be streamed by the 4th for FREE...and she chooses the day after to release it for sales...people are gonna SOOOOO just illegally download it... However, I and many do hope for the best with her vision and hope it's successful, but we'll just have to wait and see... Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify! [] Yeah, but that's true of most albums since most big albums leak before they're available for sale. If anything streaming will help get people to buy the album. Because people who are curious just to listen can listen to the stream ahead of time, not seek out leaks, and possibly buy the album. Whereas someone who has already sought out a leak and downloaded it just out of curiosity is less likely to buy songs they already have sitting on their computer for free.
