I love her folky synth pop stuff on BL, and personally I believe the songs there are just better quality. Your Biggest Mistake destroys discographies. It took me a while to get into it, but I think I can say it's my fave Ellie period now. Guns And Horses Starry Eyed This Love (Will Be Your Downfall) Under The Sheets The Writer Every Time You Go Wish I Stayed Your Biggest Mistake I'll Hold My Breath Salt Skin Lights Human Little Dreams Home Animal Believe Me Your Song 11/17 = 65% I don't dislike the non-bolded ones. Some of them could still be growers (UTS, ETYG) and some I really haven't heard enough to have an opinion on them (LD, BM). As for Halcyon... Don't Say A Word My Blood Anything Could Happen Only You Halcyon Figure 8 Joy Hanging On Explosions I Know You Care Atlantis Dead In The Water I Need Your Love (does this really count as an Ellie song?) Ritual In My City Without Your Love Burn Goodness Gracious You My Everything Hearts Without Chains Stay Awake Flashlight How Long Will I Love You Tessellate Midas Touch The Ending High For This 11/26 = 42% To be fair, Halcyon (Days) had a BOATload of tracks, and I haven't listened to all of them intently enough. As such, there's definitely room for HD's percentage to grow. I think I like Stay Awake, Flashlight, and HLWILY so far. So basically I like Ellie much more now. LMLYD is so euphoric, when the chorus becomes more and more powerful it slays me so much every time I hope it's on the upcoming LP, even as a sort of bonus like INYL on Halcyon!
