It is a first-person survival horror game. It is kind of like Amnesia - you can't fight back and you have no weapons - you can only run and hide. It is easily one of the scariest games I have ever played. There are a lot of jumpscares but still the atmosphere is really creepy. The story is good. I have a relatively weak GPU so I couldn't play it on high settings but from what I could see, the graphics are really good. Most of the game is played in darkness and there are a lot of completely dark places. You don't have any source of light with you. Instead, you have a videocamera with night vision mode. The batteries die quickly though so you have to be in constant search throughout the game for new batteries. So, has anyone else played it? Post your comments here. me069 283 Posted May 6, 2014 Author Share Posted May 6, 2014 Reviving this thread.  A new DLC is coming in about an hour and twenty minutes. It is called Outlast: Whistleblower. It will allow the player experience first hand the events before the original game.  I am so excited, I cannot even explain in words I will be playing this tonight.  Poster:[warning][/warning]  Is anyone else joining me or am I the only one here who will be $hitting his pants? me069 283 Posted May 11, 2014 Author Share Posted May 11, 2014 I am glad that at least someone here is playing it I finished it in about 4-5 hours even though the gameplay is around 2-3 hours There were levels where I just stayed and waited something to happen because I was so afraid of the cannibal with the electric saw. The last 30 minutes of the game was so deeply disturbing. Gosh, words are not sufficient enough to describe it. I liked the ending though, didn't expect it.
