Stefani 25
Applause did bad in Australia which really doesn't make sense to me because she was always big there but it is what it is... On the other hand, it did quite nice in other countries... actually other than TEOG and the fame/monster era all her other songs didn't have an impact.i wish it was still TEOG era damn i heard it everywhere i went. NathanC 938
I think the lack of promo just means she wants radio backing again, the promo will come with ARTPOP which hopefully will begin next week along with the billboards on CCO...

Foivos 64
Anyone else starting to feel like Applause has proved itself? I feel like I need to stop obsessing over the charts now; Applause has proven to us that it is in no way, shape, or form a flop. Heck, it's even a "hit". Maybe not a smasher, but still definitely a hit. I think we should all be satisfied with how it has and continues to perform. Let's enjoy these last two days of not having to worry about charts before AURA comes and makes up freak out again. Deal? This. Like exactly what I wanted to say
craig 680
Applause did OKAY worldwide but that's about it... But then again she hardly made the effort to promote it. Which is weird for a lead single. It's not so weird when you have TWO singles before your album. Fact is most singles from most big artists are "on their own" in Oz, which maybe gets one promo visit per album era.
Luc 4,775
Unless you're Poker Face,Paparazzi,Bad Romance,Telephone,Alejandro,Born This Way and The Edge of Glory Alejandro flopped in the US if you compare its' European (especially East-/South-) and Latin American success to it. Harry 26,836
It's not so weird when you have TWO singles before your album. Yeah but it is unlike Gaga to not promote a single at all, especially a lead. As in, taking a trip to Europe and not doing a single TV performance. Hopefully they crank it up a bit with the second single promo.

Born This Way got even less performances in its first 2 months though.

Luc 4,775
over 2 million in sales and like 90M AI I believe...how is that a flop I said if you compare it to its WW success, Alejandro is one of Gaga's biggest hits next to Bad Romance and Poker Face in many countries while it sold about the same as Yoü and I in the US. GagaMyBlood95 9,915
They are saving all the good promo for the second single + album I am sure in it!
Dangerous Man 9,245
Alejandro flopped in the US if you compare its' European (especially East-/South-) and Latin American success to it. You mean it did better in some European countries than in the US? Misusing of the word flop. ;) "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body." All of have the same intuition. :) Especially considering she went to England could've performed Applause on live TV I think Gaga and her team purposely done that, to test the water with Applause.
