I would easily say Paparazzi is the biggest success of Lady Gaga and whether you want it or not it had more impact than any other single. Im not talking about charts yup and that VMAs performance, Applause could never. Im not talking about charts No, the Gaga singles with the biggest impact are Pokerface, Bad Romance, Alejandro and Born This Way without a second doubt. The Paparazzi VMA performance makes it so iconic. Still it is definitely an iconic Lady Gaga song along with TEOG and Telephone. Just because of the hype, the Hype It self makes Born This Way more Impactful than Paparazzi, let alone the song's controversies and It's sales, Paprazzi would never ever had this huge Impact neither cultural nor commercial ... Born This Way is the most Impactful Gaga song after Poker Face and Bad Romance ... then comes Just Dance, Paparazzi and Telephone (+ Alejandro in Europe and Latin America mainly) .. The release of BTW was very hyped everywhere. Paparazzi was a single after Just Dance, PokerFace and LoveGame and they were all huge here in Greece so it's natural for it to get a bit overshadowed. Also BTW had more longevity here, I still listen to it sometimes and they play it much more on Mad and MTVGreece. The Gaga song with the most impact here is definitely Alejandro without a doubt...
