But idk, i dont really know her, all I know is she's a kind person. :P Troy said to billboard back in first month of 2014 , ARTPOP is set to be released in 4th Quarter of 2014 . who know , maybe Katy wanted to comeback earlier or they know sales in february are less phenomenal than October . Griffin 6 Posted October 3, 2013 Share Posted October 3, 2013 I'm thinking of creating a topic with my own chart here on GGD, taking into account Billboard's Digital Songs, Radio Songs, On-Demand and Streaming Songs chart. Just think it'd be an interesting thing for chart heads to read. I'm developing it at the moment, and for my first try at a reasonable formula I've taken positions across the 4 Billboard charts and averaged them, then subtracted 1 place if they appear on all 4 charts (as a reward for obvious relevance) and added 1 for every chart that a said song doesn't appear on. The catch was that a song had to appear twice across any of the four charts to be considered (this doesn't work, I'll go back and devise a new formula). Here's my work below, with the avg. appearing on the rightmost column. Billboard October 5th Week 1. Roar 2. Wrecking Ball 3. Wake Me Up 4. Royals 5. Holy Grail 6. Hold On 7. Blurred Lines 8. Applause 9. Summertime Sadness 10. [missing] The tracks that broke the formula were The Fox, Dark Bitch and Work Horse. For example, The Fox only appeared on one chart (streaming) at #3 - even if I add 3 to it's average, it would get a 6 - placing it at #5. I didn't think this was fair for songs like Applause which are ending their run so sit at the back of all charts - or is it? I have three options: a) Keep it that way. b) Acknowledge the entire Top 20. c) Do a totally different formula. If I do option b, I would only document songs that appeared in the Top 10 of any chart, but I would also add their appearances on the other three charts (outside Top 10). Does this make sense?
