They were playing Firework while ET was smashing. So either they play Applause while the album comes out or nothing new. they are already picking up applause.. just that they are slower in picking up new song. Just from the description of Gaga it seems that VENUS is once again disco-electronic song which would benefit mostly from the TOP 40/POP format on the radio. Not that it will rely solely on TOP 40/POP, but it will be the key element of her radio start. It's not a tragedy, since all of Gaga singles rely on POP, but some of them had the chance to cross the formats. So by the time VENUS captures TOP 40, HAC might start playing it. I'm positive since we probably have at least two potential multi-format singles, which I consider SEXXX DREAMS and G.U.Y.. This one has a chance too. Can't say a word about GYPSY since we even didn't get the snippet yet. As for DOPE and JEWELS+DRUGS, honestly, I don't see it doing well on TOP 40. Yeah I love Applause and Most of the times I am "It's a good lead single" and only sometimes I kinda think It's a bit of a waste, but let's not talk bad stuff about the good sis Applause :) It was really good to us *Americano's Impact* Wonders? I doubt if people who like Jewels & Drake would like Gaga's album as a whole, and vice versa. Even a well promoted Gaga-Bennett single would sell more albums. The ability of a single to sell alone doesn't necessarily correlate with it's ability to sell an album. Yes of course not.. I was talkin about Radio (Urban stations etc.. ) For the album 1 big Dance hit (Hopefully VENUS ) and 1 big ballad (hopefully DOPE/Gypsy) will be perfect for album sales ...
