_Lam 598 Posted August 29, 2013 Share Posted August 29, 2013 I don't think Gaga will go higher on Hot 100, Miley will have her VMAs E-X-T-R-E-M-E boost, Eminem might get one of the top spot, Katy Perry still holding strong and the same goes for Robin Thicke. I wouldn't be surprised if Katy has the bigger first week and sells more albums in the long run as well. Gaga's selling power seems to have significantly decreased since last era. Not trying to be negative. It just means that she doesn't take anything for granted in her career. And I'd rather she focus on making great music than pandering to the masses for sales. Just remember Katy could double her TD debut week and Gaga could half her BTW number, and Gaga would still sell more. It's a mistake to equate Katy's album selling power with Rihana - I think she's grown - but she hasn't become Swift overnight. He doesn't have neither enough streaming nor airplay to make the top 5. Furthermore Gaga will also have the VMA's boost which was also higher than Miley's boost.
