Paper Gangsta 6,693
I could feel you. I still would have wanted for her to continue her streak of #1 lead singles. I will forever blame will.i.am for that. If only her team would call Max Martin or Dr. Luke for some emergency meeting and produce the 2nd single asap. Or at least let will.i.am give us something close to the production of #ThatPower. That intro is one of the best I've heard from him. Will I am isnt only producer from album. There is Danja Max MArtin Luke and much more. And there is ballad Perfume (written by Sia and Brit) comming as second or third single

I was aiming mostly for a #1 debut on Hot Digital Songs, which definitely would of been nice. But again, I don't really like blaming the producers for the results of a song. When I heard it for the first time, it screamed HIT to me and I can see why they were compelled to release it [ESPECIALLY after the success of S&S]. I think that they took the EDM/dance route and it just didn't work out. A power ballad should definitely be in the running for a second single. Her manager confirmed that Perfume [a ballad that she recorded for the album] was definitely going to be released as a single, so I really want to see how the GP reacts to a Britney ballad since it's been almost 10 years since she released one as a single. Right now, I'm aiming for a Try-sized hit. 2M in the US, peaked at #5 on radio, #6 on Pop. I know it's a BIT too steep, but that song was one that never actually reached the Top 10 of iTunes [aside from like 2 days] and lingered in the teens long enough to cross 2M, so I hope WB can follow the same trajectory after the video is released and if airplay increases [notice I said IF, because I don't know if radio will embrace this song or not]. And I'm most excited about the one with Sia. That could be a hit.

Criminal says hi! (flop ballad) Who needs Britney for ballads - that's like going to McDonald's for a salad. :haha: Production on Work Bench is pretty good, it's the lyrics that kind of suck. Ozzy8923 9
Dr. Luke is NOT on Britney's album. He confirmed it. Max Martin might be, I don't know. She said she loves working with him more than any other producer and he's amazing, so I hope he makes the album.

Well, then all she really needs is a song with an actual HOOK! And Shattered Glass was the best selling non-single from Circus [charted on the Hot 100!] when the album came out, so people were definitely here for Balladney at that time. Not to mention He About To Lose Me was one of the most well-received songs by non-fans. Criminal was just poop and that's why it flopped.

She said she loves working with him more than any other producer and he's amazing, so I hope he makes the album. I hope too. Most of her best songs are with him. Speaking of Criminal, another song produced by MM, that's the only one from FF that I love from start to finish. Too bad, she didn't even promote it (like the rest of that era). And it seems the treatment would be the same for this new album, most especially the main focus would be on her Las Vegas residency show for the next two years or so.
