We have so many examples of songs that didnt have a single tv performance and has done well. Gaga had 2 tv performances and 2 tv appearances. It is enough. I don't know too much about radio, so maybe there's something I'm missing lol. She had one of the 4 highest updates for HAC and a decent gain on Rhythmic. I said yesterday that Pop gains would slow but now it was a Top 10 radio song it would take off on HAC etc. I bet stations are adding it that will play it to Xmas (late adopters) Also her spins on pop gained decently, more than audience size. You can't expect all the big stations to keep SPAMMING the song 12-16 times a day at their audience forever.They have other new songs to pick up. The 3 songs right behind Applause on Hot 100 - Lana, Capital Cities, and Eminem - all lost spins on Pop today. Looks like Em has flopped and Lana has peaked on pop.
