I will have a huge meltdown if the second single does not beat Applause's debut week. :awkney:

GaGa better deliver a smash to her fans. Applause is a nice hit, but I wanna see slayage

So are spins looking good for a good update? Anything above 1.0M+ AI is fine.

If it does beat Applause's numbers, it would be a really nice moral booster for the fanbase.

The only way I see it beating Applause's debut numbers is if it has a performance that week and if it's released on a Monday.

I think it could potentially without a performance as long as it's an awesome song that people like right away.

If The Fox is above Applause at any point on the Hot 100 while Applause has better sales and radio, I will have a meltdown.
That trash belongs on no chart.

I would love for her to apply her original plan on Applause with the next single - a simultaneous release on the digital retail outlets, a radio deal, a music video, and perhaps a televised performance as promo - all in its opening week. If that's not enough to debut a song at #2 in the HOT 100, at the very least, then I don't know what else she must do. I wonder if it would be beneficial to her if she puts everything out? Because if everything comes short, it'd be really hard to boost sales in its succeeding weeks. Unless, the song is another grower like Applause.

It's coming. If there's a song that could inevitably replace Royals at the top of the HOT 100 (well after she topped it soon), it will be this song. The gap of likes and dislikes of its viral video on YouTube could be a huge hint. Guess we're seeing one of the closing hits of 2013 on this one.  :ohno:

I think if The Fox was a #1 threat it would have taken off much further and faster, given that it's been #3 streaming for 2 weeks and had exposure on TV (Fox network commercials, i heart radio,  and some show like Ellen).

Also, we haven't seen a viral #1 that is primarily comic. Dance crazes yes, alternative hipster fads yes, but not comedy.

I don't mind growers, but it'd be nice if she can put the song on iTunes and put the video out the same day. We're guaranteed at least another Top 5 even without a radio deal, and 2 Top 5's from an album is certainly respectable.
