Let's talk about Marry The Night :emma: and Judas did as good/better as/than You&I, if there wasn't TEOG to kill any chances Judas had, I'm sure it would've done much better.

At least the video is already nearing 60M views, she shouldn't have an issue going to 100M over the next few months

Judas was already done with radio before The Edge of Glory tho.

(Judas was quite successful over europe though)

Here's something I thought was really interesting: The live version of Applause from the VMAs is the most viewed video on MTV.com, while the Applause vid is the most viewed MV when you count out all the live performances. Meanwhile, the VMA performance and MV are also the most commented videos (the MV is even ahead of Bruno, Drake, and Kanye live performances), and the live performance is the second most shared (after JT's VMA medley).

Well it's not really something to agree on, it's a FACT that the christmas freeze damages songs and there are many examples of that.

 Since 2011, I haven't seen any single released in the latter part of the last quarter of the year reaching the top spot of the HOT 100. Most chart-toppers between the November-December time frame have weeks or even months of build-up before they were really smashing the charts at that particular period. 2011's We Found Love and 2012's Diamonds were both released in late September. 2012's One More Night was a June release. 2012's Locked Out of Heaven was released on the first day of October.

If I'm not mistaken, the only single that was released on the November-December time frame and still hit the top of the HOT 100 on the same year was Katy Perry's Firework, well at least the most recent one that I could remember. That was way back in 2010. I guess the chances of a November release for any single becoming a smash hit is pretty small. If we follow history, I think an October release for the 2nd single of ARTPOP would be best right now. In that way, it could start growing before the Christmas songs start to be over-saturated in  radio airplay.

Yeah, I think the Applause follow up will come out early-Mid october. Not because Applause isnt doing good enough in America, but because of what we've seen in the past as PokerFist is saying. A release as your near November has a tough time making its way up.

I mean, maybe Gaga won't mind a single going from early November until like February, but we'll see i guess
