Joey1 0 Posted August 19, 2013 Share Posted August 19, 2013 What I don't fully understand is how Roar has been solid #1 with barely any press coverage, it's never on the news unless they're talking about katy AND gaga, otherwise it's just about gaga, and trust me I watch all the different news channels and entertainment news also...it's weird, it's like everyone knows the song is out there, there's mass awareness, but not mass sales...so possibly it's just because Applause isn't that HUGE of a song, with the innate press coverage gaga gets really all she has to do is give a massively catchy song to go number 1 instantly Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

In general I think Gaga's performance will give her a bigger boost than Katy since Gaga's performance is sure to blow us away moreso than Katy's, but since Katy will get a boost nonetheless and is already number 1 she will most likely remain there. Yeah but Gaga's performances are always more remembered and impactful than Katys. I doubt Gaga will be able to top Katy on itunes even after the VMAs though.
