Her radio deal will only start next week. Gaga herself said that on a recent tweet, thanking some stations for playing it early. She still has the VMAs and the video. It might not get her up to #1, I think that's not very likely anymore, but I believe #2 might be very well possible again. The GP was tired of her, they are not following her every step. It'll take them some time to be accepting towards her again. And even if Applause does 'flop', it doesn't mean this whole era is gonna 'flop' with it. I mean, maybe it's even good that it does, in some ways. It's surely gonna keep them all on their toes and they'll have to plan things better so the era slays and snatches all the weaves, like we all want it to. But seriously, CALM DOWN! I mean, a friend of mine that is actually a Gaga fan, went to her concert with me and all, just told me he first heard Applause TODAY. And he is a FAN. I mean... Give it a little more time. There's plenty of time for things to turn around but this is current. Good way to put it. She's not DEBUTING well, but she could still perform well overall. Lots of songs have small Week 1, 2, or 3 but then grow with exposure. However, I remember it going really down for #20 I think before she performed it on American Idol and radio started adding it. so please no panic until the week after Vma. Gaga is an edgy and risky artist who since The Fame is always compared to and defined by her previous work. it would be cool if at least her fans didn't act that way bu the edge of glory was a good song...
