200-300k? :wtf: I'm not understanding how this is remotely even possible. I just don't understand...

It's science, bitch

I hope she wears the frizzy weave to the VMAs if its her future look. That weave alone could put Katy on welfare.

Apparently Blurred Lines is suffering from a sales drop and since Applause is falling from #2 to #3..

I honestly think Applause won't be a complete flop in the end. Sure its debut will leave a bad taste in my mouth, but I think it will chart in the top 10 for awhile. Lets just hope it stays on the Hot 100 for over 20 weeks (which BTW couldn't do).

If I remember correctly, someone on ATRL estimated than Roar/Applause would have to sell over 625K to get #1. If Magoo's projection is correct then she won't get #1 either. That should make us feel a little better :whitney:

I would guess maybe 50K

BB said this about K. Michelle's new album and projected it would sell around 65k. ("R&B singer K. Michelle (of VH1's reality show "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta") will likely debut in the top 10 with her first album, "Rebellious Soul." The album might sell around 65,000.")

So I take this as ARTPOP has been pre-ordered around 50k in the US, so I see your projection as pretty accurate.

Isnt 250-325 debut not bad considering JT Suit & Suit was about 310?

I feel confident that Gagz can regain her popularity this era in the U.S.

Never looked at it that way. Long absences from the pop scene don't necessarily mean big debuts, no matter what your status as an artist is.

Yeah I agree. With the video & VMA performance next week, this will definitely have longevity.
