Jesse Pinkman 4,660
i cant at Roar's spins compared to Applause's It's science, bitch
whiteboi1327 84
And I mean why wouldn't they? I'm being subjective, yes, but Applause is just so much more engaging and fresh sounding. Roar literally sounds like an outtake from Teenage Dream, and it's just so boring. I think the truth is that a significant chunk of it's sales are being driven by it's massive radio exposure. I agree. I don't hate katy perry but her new song isn't great. I felt like it was going to fail whereas Applause is better than I thought it was gonna be. When I saw that Applause was the title of her lead single I was like "it's gonna suck" but I actually love it. DJWS surprised me with this production. Klou 2,414
The Applause banners will probably be removed from iTunes next week, which won't help.
whiteboi1327 84
Is the universal rhythmic radio add still next week? I wish we had a source that can tell us that there is some radio deal or radio add dates for next week still. I can see it doing great there above any other format. Pop Art 1,773
From Billboard: Β Β While it's a bit early in the week to exactly forecast just how big either will be, industry sources are suggesting each should sell well over 400,000 downloads by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, Aug. 18. A start of over 500,000 for each wouldn't be out of the question either. Β Source

Pop Art 1,773
Β Β Hey, that's much better than Kworb's prediction earlier today of 200,000 for Applause.
Slaylor Swift 0
Hey, that's much better than Kworb's prediction earlier today of 200,000 for Applause. But I don't think applause will pass 400k downloads. Even 350k is a miracle.
Arturo 40,746
Hey, that's much better than Kworb's prediction earlier today of 200,000 for Applause. Exactly! But why isn't it looking like that on iTunes? When was the article written?
ThisGuyTony 30,655
I'm fine with her being the next Kylie tbh. Β Β But Kylie slays her home country. She just hasn't cracked America in a few years Β Β You do realize Kylie had like a good 10 years where she was just flopping before she made a semi-comeback with Light Years and then a huge one with Fever? Β Unless you want Gags to make her real comeback in 2023... Β Β Β Didn't Kylie have like two popular songs in the US charts, too...? Β Β I didn't mean to get into the specifics, but Kylie's legacy in Europe (especially/specifically the UK) is probably on a parr with Madonna's. And hey a comeback is still a comeback... see you all in 2023 after ya'll jump ship and start stanning for Kety! Β Kylie getting that promo!Β :worship2:Β :worship2: RachetHeauxNavi: Yes! "Locomotion" and "Can't Get You Out Of My Head"! :Love At First Sight" reached #23! She's also had some #1's on the Dance Chart. Β Nothing wrong with being the next Kylie. She made an impact and has only sold 68 million records worldwide.
