I really do think that Gaga could have a really successful lead single!

I really hope so. I want her to be #1 for like 4-5 weeks and then maintain herself in the top 10 for 8 more weeks.

I really feel like Gaga has a lot planned. People say she has less promotion than Katy but Gaga has magazine covers/interviews planned, a vma performance planned. Music video release date the same day. As long as the song is good she and her label have taken the right steps to be able to perform really well.

Edit: I think streaming will really help her. She needs Applause on Spotify like ASAP

I really hope it has TEOG longevity. It managed to say in the top 10 for almost 3 months. :legend:

Have faith my friend

I just realized Katy will struggle really bad to hit that high note during Roar's chorus :rip: As her voice gets higher, the song will go lower on iTunes.

I may be really delusional but for some reason I don't see Roar as a huge threat as I did a couple days ago. Lately generic pop songs haven't been huge hits so it will be interesting to see how Katy fares with her Dr Luke produced track.

Vocally terrible performances have never stopped Katy before. Wide Awake shot up on iTunes after her terrible vocals at her BBMA performance.

Everything. There will always be someone with a different opinion ;)

Example: BL. People buy that song like hot bread, radios overplay it. However, there's lots of people who don't like the song at all.

I guees if you choose that example. But most of the people ( not everybody) like a good, revolutionary or not, song like Just dance or Bad romance until it get overplayed and it can get annoying and stuff.

But with the controversial songs its harder.

nobody whatches those. This year it had zero effect on the chart performance of the songs performed. It was the same last year.

And my ears will suffer

What will differentiate Katy from the other semi good singers like Selena, Miley, etc

Dont believe them.

I know somebody who says that he hates to the dead  Gaga, but one day I catch him singing Bad romance. :dies:

Yesterday Avicii passed Blurred Lines on Canadian itunes.

Leaving the US as the last and only major market with BL on top.

America needs to seriously get it together :smh:

They were even playing the freaking song at my company meeting today. No matter what I do I can't escape the thing.
