nativenewyorker 1,190
It's just the Middle Eastern sitar-y guitar in the intro. I can deal with that, it's not like she sampled that killer melody in the chorus or the invasive tonality in the verses. Not to mention the lyrics are perfect. I don't mind and apparently, they helped Gaga produce it. She did the same with Electric Chapel's guitar intro. No biggie, she's still vomiting lots of classic Gaga creativity. lodylody 1,725
you know poker face was also a sample? get over it. so she is the only artist accountable for sampling, but when someone like gwen does a mega sampling with luxurious, it's innovative and amazing? This isn't a sample. The instrumental is, in parts, exactly the same.
Katie14 4,828
I don't think there's anything morally wrong with it. Read my above post, that's what I find sad about it. Gaga is known for making something fresh with every artist she works with, and this is an amazing set of lyrics and melodies put over an already made song. The only new instrumental bits in Aura/Burqa are the chorus bits and the guitar in the intro that is slightly edited, along with some drums. The verse is identical. Even the chorus is the same. Lol just four mah mah mah mah's. I don't mind sampling. But I would like Gaga to come up with her own ideas. Especially when she's stating that she's involved in every process of the song. Well, obviously not. Still love Aura though.

Robotboy 1,700
good then i hope its another instrumental cuz my favorite with this song is the lyrics and gagas vocals(parts of her vocals atleast) Remember that you are unique. Like everyone else.
lodylody 1,725
Even the chorus is the same. Didn't notice, I will listen again. :)
MJ Holland 4
Infected Mashrooms are producers for this song... ... Why the meltdown ? She wrote the lyrics and wanted to use their instrumental.
Storm 69
At the end of the day, it's a bop so I'm not complaining; I love the song and will enjoy listening to it. At the same time, the thing I've always loved about Gaga is how the producers she works with are so different with her. She creates something truly unique with them. Aura/Burqa IS a unique song, but when you get into the EDM sections? It's classic Zedd/Infected Mushroom... it's not unique. It doesn't feel different. When Gaga worked with RedOne, she made RedOne amazing - would you guess that Scheisse was produced by the same guy that produced Live it Up? No. I could tell that this was Zedd (and Infected Mushroom if I bothered listening to them) from a mile away. I want Gaga to produce something unique with the producers she works with; I don't want them to put their music onto her song. I want them to create something that is truly a collaboration, a unique collaboration that includes both styles. But as I said, happy for the song to exist, because it's amazing. Didymus 34,379
No one's criticizing her for doing it, we're just saying we could've been more satisfied. That's all
lodylody 1,725
Infected Mashrooms are producers for this song... ... Why the meltdown ? She wrote the lyrics and wanted to use their instrumental. Read my post up there. Basically, Gaga has always had a large part of the creative process. As I say in my post, RedOne: Could you tell the same person made Scheisse as the person that made JLo's Live It Up? No, because Gaga makes something (up until now, it seems) truly unique with the person she collaborates with. This is not unique, this is... A replica of their instrumental. Instead of making something truly unique with Infected Mushrooms, she has just taken their instrumental, therefore not putting herself into the instrumental of the song, only into the lyrics and melody. AnglerfishbraBENUS 5,710
Zedd & Infected Mushroom produced Burqa, we learned that yesterday from Gaga through Emma :) ik i meant to put it like maybe they made the instrumental TOGETHER and they have just been playing it... instead of what people think and that she heard it and wrote Aura to the track... but who knows
Storm 69
Anyway, the melody is all Gaga... And it must be the part that requires the most creativity, not the chords for the instrumental, I think. kupo 201
Well, if they helped produce, this isn't even a conversation worth having, lol. It's def. fine.
What 4
what pisses me off now is like, you have two years to produce new, original music and you choose to sample songs and have Zedd reuse a lot of his sounds from Clarity? Really? I know it's a demo and maybe this was so early that everything will change, but I'm nervous that it wont. +
