uo111 5,251
Ahhh I see I've never played the original I could get the Gamecube version and play it on my Wii but I'd rather play the revamped one that's in HD Oooh I see, did you use Olimar in SSB? I assumed Pikmin would be too easy when it first came out so I never bothered buying it I loved Olimar in SSB though (even if I wasn't any good ) so I probably should look into it I would recommend trying Pikmin. The first one for the Gamecube was absolutely one of the top games for the Gamecube. The second one had more depth but, the first one was just perfect (because it was first tbh ^_^). I haven't played Pikmin 3 yet ( ) but that's the one I'm gonna download if I get Mario Kart, although that's mostly because I already beat WW HD(which btw, I played for the first time last winter and it was one of my favorite Zelda games). They are both good, you can't go wrong either way. But you have also never tried Pikmin! It's been announced in The Netherlands that if you buy the game you will get a free download of 1 out of 10 possible wii U games, which are: Nintendo Land, New Super Mario Bros. U, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, GAME & WARIO, Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, Sonic Lost World, Mario & Sonic at the Olympics 2014. So many choices :O I'm jealous, I wonder why the Netherlands get more?

Canon 672
3 Days away from the US release For anyone interested, GameExplain did a 1 hour review going in-depth within the characters, tracks, items, modes , etc. The review brings in 3 separate people with each of their takes on the game and its really thorough. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62k84yazt_s&list=UUfAPTv1LgeEWevG8X_6PUOQ&feature=share&index=3 If you dont have time to spare Ill jot down the jist of the review: -The majority of tracks are well executed and lots of fun. Rainbow Road (Wii U) and Music Land were underwhelming. -Baby Rosalina and Pink Gold Peach were not well received as they believed previous Mario Kart veterans such as Birdo should have made the cut. They suggest future DLC, if any, to add more staple characters as well as new ones (E.Gadd and Nabbit suggested) -Item displacement is better. Blue shells are much more rare. -Boomerang item is tricky to aim but rewarding and fun. -Pirahna Plant item is fun and useful for attacking and defensive purposes -Crazy 8 was deemed 'meh'. Just an upgraded Lucky 7. -Horn item was practical, but its rarity and short-range shockwave dampened its effectiveness -Coin Item = Very inconvenient, expecially if you already have 10 coins. Even worse if you get it while in 1st place. -Battle mode. -Enjoyed going back to the 3 Balloons and you're out style -Did NOT enjoy having to use actual Tracks as battle arenas. -Battle mode Arenas replaced with tracks (as stated above) -Ghosted players can interrupt gameplay. Example: And invisible ghost player can drop a banana peel directly in front of a remaining player. Leading to unsatisfying victories. Overall they really enjoyed the core racing side of the game. The Battle mode, not so much. They also suggest adding in Missions for future Mario Kart releases.
