If Gaga doesn't go #1 the first week her sales, airplay, and streaming are factored in, then I'll be very concerned due to the fact that Blurred Lines might win VOTY and block her during the VMA's week of sales :ohno:

no way ... He need to sell 500k+ to have more sales than her and that's not happening cuz People MUST be tired of this ****ing song by then .. Gaga's performance will be more Impactful on her sales than BL being performed + wining all the awards It's nominated In ....

"Blurred Lines" isn't going to win video of the year; it's always the people with big fanbases who win. Taylor is the one to beat.

edit "Blurred Lines" isn't even nominated for VOTY, wtf are you guys talking about :rip:

edit 2 nvm, someone trashed the Wikipedia page :rip:

considering the AI blurred lines dont have impressive sales. we just wait for the first negative update its still 24 days until gaga :)

The song sold over 400K for like 5 weeks straight. No song has EVER done that in history It's sales are completely impressive.

AI increasing + 300k sales + current streaming (+VMA performance)

Enough to block Gaga. She has a chance at #1 in a lucky week.

Reminds me of all the times this was said during the BTW era when Adele was massacring everyone :flutter:

:derpga:

this song is smashing for more than 5 weeks and It has 4 more weeks to rule the charts then It FALLS because Gaga isn't Rihanna ... her lead single will be getting them Million airplay updates + around 900-1M Digital sales in 2 weeks (because of the VMAs)  If she manage to cross 600K first week and 450k second week because of the VMAs she'll be unstoppable but that's not even the best scenario ...

yes but some people are forgetting that It may totally die by the VMAs which is exactly 1 month from now ... Born This Way was the biggest song the first 3-4 weeks but the It Died so fast :X BL isnt going to die fast It's obvious but It may be totally dead by the VMAs ... If Katy and Gaga release + Avicii and Ellie having top 10 hits by then I can't see BL smashing ...

3 weeks, not 5, tied with STIUTK. Still impressive, but look up your facts.

Blurred Lines' sales really aren't that impressive, considering it's about to be the most played radio song of all time. There's still 3 weeks to go. It'll surely be on the way out by then. Only worrying thing is whether his airplay decreases will happen fast or gradually (like Mirrors). His airplay is huge, and that alone could be enough to block Gaga, and even if it starts decreasing tomorrow, it will still be huge in 3 weeks. Gaga will need to have at least a third of BL's airplay in its first full week to hit #1.

No need to be rude for no reason. Bottom line is the numbers are impressive.

Blurred Lines IS a threat no matter what any of you say. That doesn't mean Gaga won't get #1, but it will mean she won't completely obliterate it. Stop trying act like Gaga can't ever have competition with her lead singles.

His airplay is not going to slow down anytime soon, and no matter what you want to say about its sales, it's been a firm #1 on iTunes for a long time. I doubt Gaga will debut at #1 because of how big it is, but she can climb there eventually.

I didn't mean to be rude, sorry. :) It's really a competition, will most likely be the #2 song of the year.

yall saw what happened when BL fell to number 3 on ITunes IT decreased a lot .. and yes It went back to number 1 but One Direction isn't Gaga and once she climb to number 1 on Itunes BL will decrease really serious .. like Gaga will lead with atleast 70% which is a lot .... Her Audio on youtube will have atleast 20M the first week and some radio airplay will be enough to get the number 1 ... I know BL Is a threat but yall are thinking that It will be this strong in 1 month when In reallity It can be dethroned even now with 100M Airplay (which Gaga will get in less than 3 weeks ) and 400k sales + Gaga debuting her video in her 3rd week the streaming will be crazy ...

HOTRODSGAGA

Please correct me if I'm wrong,

The week the lead is released, numbers should be

For Gaga:

Sales: around 500k

Radio : 70ml ai to say the least

Streaming : 5mil views in the us if its just an audio

For robin:

Sales: a regular 250k maybe less

Radio : 20 ai in that week max

Streaming: around 5mil thanks to youtube.

If I'm right, then why are you all so worried?

PEOPLE WHY R U So obsessed with gaga getting #1 .... I would be happy even if happen Bad Romance case even I would prefer this rather than BTW. Wouldn't be better lower chart possition and 5+ M sales or braking iTunes record for fastest selling song in history yet 2 years later struggling to reach 4 M sales   :emma:

It's much more fun to have hizophrenia... u never get lonely
