WarriorPrince 1
So I see now that people finally agree with me that Same Love will be a big hit. I still have not changed my mind
Cherry 17
Anyone could have seen "Same Love" becoming a hit from a mile away after they had two #1 hits in a row and approval of gay marriage continues to rise. The only question is how big it will be.EDIT I will say, though, that I am surprised at how quickly pop and rhythmic radio have warmed up to it. I thought it would be more of a slow-building radio hit. Edited June 21, 2013 by Cherry
Klou 2,414
.I still have not changed my mindThat's too bad. I'm strictly looking at the facts/numbers. It will be a hit... Maybe not a #1, but it will do well.

I thought it would be more of a slow-building radio hit. The only problem is that the song will eventually crash into the wall of homophobia. Tons of stations are picking it up, but there will definitely be stations that supported his last two hits that won't spin this one just because of the message. Only God knows how many of these stations there will be, though. A point will come where it will fall short of what it could have been had it not been a song about gay love. Mills 446
The next single after Radioactive. Will this smash? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWRsgZuwf_8 It performed quite well for a promotional single, reaching the top 10 of the Rock Songs chart at one point. I would only hope that it'd do much better as an official single. So far, it's currently at #56 in iTunes, and for the past weeks or so, it's been going back and forth within the 50-60 range. Demons also has that catchiness of It's Time more than Radioactive that I'm rooting for it to become their third huge hit. Marco 731
My brother has a piano cover on YouTube of Demons as irrelevant as that is. But I think it'll do fairly well as a single. I love it.

nick4bty 2,758
So I see now that people finally agree with me that Same Love will be a big hit. I haven't changed my mind either. This one has a clear ceiling ahead of it, and while some people will say otherwise, this isn't rising nearly as fast as CHU did, nor is Pop/Top 40 warming up to it that quickly. It will be a moderate hit, but it will not continue Macklemore's #1 streak. Maybe a Top 10?
