True Love getting good updates so far. And it's currently at #258 on iTunes. Once it impacts Pop/Top 40 on Monday, it'll likely see a quick rise.

Ke$ha also getting okay updates. I can't believe how long it's taken for it to get to where it's. At least it went Top 20 on pop. But the gap between it and Right Now is large - unless it starts getting 1.000+ updates on a daily basis, I can't see it going much higher.

I hope RCA is prepared with a strong follow-up single for Justin, because "TBTN"'s early performance has been extremely poor by his standards.

I believe the track is only available if you pre-order the second version of his album. They seem to obviously be aiming for album sales moreso than singles.

You don't pay for iTunes pre-orders right away. All pre-orders are are a (paid) download of a new single, then iTunes emails you when the album comes out and charges you after it downloads. It counts on the singles charts. "TBTN" simply isn't selling enough.

Oh, OK, I see. :emma:

Well, let's just label it a FLOP, and watch it tumble down the charts!

It's been climbing for a month?

How did that Austin Mahone song get to #20 on pop radio? I smell payola.

It's been climbing for a month?

That's really fishy, though, that it's so high on radio when it's down in the 80s on iTunes.

Katy won't block Gaga but I think her single could overshadow Gaga's over time.

I think it's the other way around.  Katy might be able to pull a number one over Gaga, but won't have the longevity and distinctive nature of a Gaga lead single.

He needs to promote! It's one of my favorites on the radio

Lately, all the typical RedOne/Dr. Luke material seems to flop. We've been fed up with the same synths and chords during the past 4 years since Gaga brought up Dance music with her fresh Poker Face. Since than, RedOne has turn from a refreshing new producer to a sellout (a bit like David Guetta).

This is why I feel that Katy can underperform this time. Hopefully she knows she cannot bring back her magic formula that worked so well back than. It's gonna be hard for her because the third album is always the confirmation of the artist. Gaga already pass that step with BTW. Katy hasn't done it already. It's gonna be her ultimate test that will tell which type of artist she'll become.

Look at JLO. With "Live it Up", she flops BADLY. Yet she had the winning "cheap" formula : RedOne, Pitbull, typical noisy dance production, a stupid hook and a beat drop after the chorus. But people are tired.

That's why Gaga could possibly (and possibly NOT) perform really ****ing well ! Because now people are tired of typical dance music, yet we're are tired of how blend the market is with one hit wonders (Call Me Maybe, Gangnam Style) and indie/rock band trying to take back the spotlight.

Pop is nowhere right now and Gaga, with a new sound/producer/image, could easily save it while other popstars, if they aren't intelligent enough, could jump right down a hole if they come back with the same ****.

I fell like Gaga's timing is so perfect right now that she could possibly twist the whole mainstream music genre again like she did with Poker Face and Just Dance. Because let's face it, before Gaga appeared, pop was as dead as it is right now. It's easy to see the correlation between Gaga and pop music success.
