It was me, and I'm pretty sure she was only in the studio because of Over The Love as I stated, Isa has been in the studio more recently but I don't know if she's working with Flo or if she's just making her own stuff (remixes and so) :P

Edit: "@MNEK: In studio with @flo_tweet for the next 3 dayzzz" well fück me backwards she's in a studio with an R&B Producer, maybe it's for the electronic side project she wanted but idk :P

Can we all discuss this flawless performance that made me discover flawless Florence + the even more flawless Machine? :legend:

+ Florence was with Tom Beard recently so maybe they're shooting the album photoshoot or a video, what do you think it is :) or maybe they're just hanging out and I'm making album 3 conspiracy theories :deadbanana:

Also I love this photo with the Haims, Flo's siblings are so cute, both JJ and Grace

Does anyone else adore Drumming Song but dislike the video? It's so monotonous and not fitting the amazing crazy energy of the song. But then again, I'm very "literal" when it comes to music videos - that is, I like them to have something to do with what the song's talking about and preferably expand on the story told in the song. I don't like it when music videos have literally nothing to do with the song, lyrically or musically. But whatevs.

Drumming Song though :flutter: Ceremonials could never. It had too much to live up to.

Anyone else just dig Girl With One Eye (Bayou Percussion Version)? It's so chill and swamplike, I love it. I love both versions, though, and I can't really pick a favorite. I mean, the Lungs one is so bitter and angry and very bluesy but the Bayou one is mystical and more composed (and also the beat reminds me of this Anne Murray song). gah

It was my favourite video before Spectrum so no, I love both the song and the video :legend:

I can't decide between Ceremonials and Lungs, I love both and both have some stories behind them, like Ceremonials being the album that made me discover Flo, Lungs being the CD I've looke for the most, etc, so I just love them both and aside from that I think both have their own unique sound and feeling, they're both perfect in their own way :legend: although I must admit I missed the harp in Ceremonials, it wasn't as used as they did in Lungs, I hope album 3 has more harp :flutter:

I don't listen too much to the percussion version :P

This is, if I'm not mistaken, her most theatrical performance to date. It's incredible. I wish she performed more at big award shows, I feel like we'd see more performances like this.

Yeah, she should perform more at awards shows, that's how I got into her so it's good promo

F+TM fans should call them "Flawless + The Machine." But then detractors could use "Flawrence." Decisions!

So how did you all first hear of The Machine? My first exposure came during my math class in senior year when my friend asked me to find the chords to "Dog Days Are Over." I didn't think much of them at first, scoffing at the use of only three chords - but then again, I was also trying not to get caught by my professor, so ~feeling the music~ wasn't really my priority. Later, I went to a talent show at a friend's school and saw a girl perform Dog Days. Finally, on one of the last days of high school, I was clapping a boom - clap clap - boom - clap beat and another friend said it sounded like Dog Days. I was annoyed because it was a generic beat, but then I vaguely remembered the hook of the song and looked it up on YouTube. I ended up really liking it, but I never bothered looking anything else up. When I get hooked on a song, I need to let the fuel run out before I start the process anew.

At the beginning of my first semester of high school, I decided to buy new albums. I checked out F+TM and really enjoyed Rabbit Heart. I bought Halcyon, Lungs, and Ceremonials in the same "batch" (Bright Lights wasn't available to complete my Ellie/Flo combo, so I got it from eBay). I ended up liking the "alternative" F+TM more than the "pop" and "mainstream" Ellie (not that's bad, but her albums contain fewer standout tracks than F+TM, which tend to be hit or miss). I loved the first half of Lungs and was utterly bored and disappointed by Ceremonials except for "What the Water Gave Me" and "Spectrum." And yeah, that's my Florence + The Machine story. Looking forward to whatever they do next - I know they've got the ability to make absolutely awesome stuff but I just need some more consistency so I can enjoy entire albums instead of skipping around a few tracks!

Let it be known that I still say "Florence plus the Machine." Sometimes I say the correct "and," but I like the idea the use of plus as a symbol and therefore word. "Plus" also makes "the Machine" sound like an awesome bonus and not "those guys that hang around and play music next to me, idek why."

So how did you all first hear of The Machine?

I was watching the Brits 2011 livestream with a friend and Flo performed No Light and I was like "who's that? I like her" and she was "oh, they're Florence + The Machine, they creep me out sometimes" and then I entered her website and saw the video for No Light and then searched more about her and fell in love with Drumming song and downloaded Ceremonials + Lungs, and at first I only liked half of those albums but then they grew so fast on me. Then on my birthday my best friend gave me a copy of Ceremonials and I was like "yasss :sara: " and then I listened to it like 40 times and loved each track like tumblr_mrvyjnknYi1qdcu4io9_250.gif and then after searching extensively I bought Lungs deluxe and then the Unplugged when it came out and now I love them so much

I hope they come to Mexico again on their next tour, I didn't get to see them last year and judging by the videos it must have been epic :nooo:

well that's my story

I actually like Ceremonials now :derpga:. I used to hate it and now I'm like "wow, this is actually really good." The only weakish tracks in my opinion are Breaking Down, Seven Devils, and Heartlines. Not bad (I can enjoy Seven Devils when I feel like listening to Halloween music, Breaking Down is nice, Heartlines not my cup of tea) but the other tracks are better. I am actually slayed.

Also I'm missing all the Lungs bonus tracks, lmao. I have a thing against buying albums I already own (hence my refusal to buy Halcyon Days since I already have Halcyon) though so buying the album again would be meh (and there's not one version with all of them; it's spread out across different versions Dx). Thankfully, Amazon has most of the bonus tracks (except Bird Song Intro) so I'll just buy them there.

So is there a list of original F+TM songs (no covers!) that aren't on Lungs or Ceremonials (that is, any version of them)? So far I've heard of Bricks, Donkey Kosh, My Best Dress, Paper Massacre, and Tear Out My Tongue. I kind of want to collect them and make a Flo Unreleased album like I did with Gaga.

There is a Lungs deluxe version with all 21 songs from Lungs (excluding alternate versions or demos or live performances)

Florence's unreleased: paper massacre (we don't hVe it), Halloween, tear out my tongue, throwing bricks, my best dress, little donkey, small hands.

what? :omg: Ceremonials is flawless and I'm happy you finally realised how Queen Flo came to save your music library :whitney:

btw this tumblr post might help you, it helped me with searching Flo's unreleased: http://****yeahflorencewelch.tumblr.com/songs

The songs I have are Bricks, Donkey Kosh, Tear Out My Tongue, Paper Massacre flawless snippet, and the Florrible and Misrabella EP (Little Donkey, Small Hands, Halloween and Filthy Fingers)

The channel rareflorence on youtube has a lot of unreleased material too

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a single member of the Machine was stirring, not even Isabella

Flo where are you, we miss you
