blow me was good tho

If I recall, many people here thought it was just okay the day it was released.  Which brings us to another reason why Blow Me is similar to WCS: it's a grower.

Rihanna's Right Now is still mired in the 400s on iTunes... Eek? "Ring the Alarm" as Beyonce would say?

It's getting a lot of support from liberal radio stations right now, but there is going to be a wall it'll hit where it needs more conservative stations on board to go top 3.  Here's a post from another music board that shines some light from the situation.  This person is a professional who has worked in the radio business:

I'm not arguing the fact the lyrical content is extremely risky, I'm just strictly looking at the numbers as it stands right now. I a--lyze data and numbers for a living, and to me it looks like it may surprise us :spin:

Wow another EXTREMELY average and boring tune released in 2013... I can't say I'm surprised. Considering how many lackluster songs have been smashing recently, I won't be suprised if this does the same.

We've seen some OK releases this year. #Beautiful, Selena's song (even though she's meh live), some nice stuff from Timberlake....

Miley's is just bad.

It's surprising just how fast this dance trend has vanished.  It's been obvious that it's been fading, but most trends as big as this usually take a few years to fully go away.

The fact that even an iron hot hit maker like Rihanna is having trouble getting a single into the hot 100 speaks volumes about the public opinion of the genre.  I'm sure it'll end up being fairly successful in the end, but this song should be flying up the charts right now.  Instead, it's having problems right out of the gate.

I'm sure that after Gaga releases ARTPOP the dance trend will revive :p

Dangerous Man

I wonder if Miley's new single can even beat  Queen Ariana's The Way. :classy:

Well I really love #beautiful, but it's not doing as well as it should.

those album sales are awful and we're almost in the half of the year....not here in few years the year's best seller to be 1 million  :wtf:  I'm really sad how with every year the sales are decreasing, what's wrong with America. Those people there could affort every day $20+ for their child's lunch but they can't affort  $10 for honouring their faves work. It's not like America is some kind of country from the 3rd world...

Well, food is a completely different area than album sales so I have no idea why you would compare them. :rip: And album sales are decreasing EVERYWHERE, not just America. Are you forgetting that a lot of the album buying demographic are TEENAGERS who don't have a job and can't spend $10 on an album whenever they want? They would more than gladly option to download an album as  opposed to paying for it and that itself attributes to the lack of album sales. And perhaps with the focus on singles and less focus on albums AS A WHOLE, people are just picking the songs they like and not buying the album anymore. It's not all an economic issue and it's not only America.

And my mama has never paid $20 for my lunch. :emma:

Dangerous Man

I feel that Heart Attack has the most potential among the other singles from these Disney girls. I guess the promo did not paid well as what I expected. It could be Demi's greatest hit!  :confuse:
