Theory: "Marry the Night" SUPPOSED to have BELLS INTRO BEFORE VOCALS

No it was not "supposed" to have bells before vocals.

The song is the way it is, because that's how Gaga wanted it. If it was supposed to have bells before vocals, it would, and that's the bottom line.

The bells were cool, and I really think that the vocals should have come in after the bells, but it's hardly ruined..

Nothing was 'ruined'.It sounds good as Gaga's voice is the first thing heard on the album.

btw,the MTV EMA 2011 MTN performance has the church bells intro b4 vocals.

It's not as if it's hard to hear the bells :flop:

I actually like that it starts off all vocals then bells, a good segue into opening the album.

Though I like it when the bells come first during live performances. It adds a sense of dread, and also helps with beginning timing lol

3 points in and ready for more

O! You mean this one:

Well it just little part, nothing really missing.

Unless you're purist. Then I cannot say much.

Quite honestly, I think there is something very powerful that comes from Gaga's strong voice starting the song and album. I love the bells but I think the song is perfect without them, especially with Gaga's powerful vocals beginning the journey of "Born This Way." I was blown away when I listened on May 23 two years ago, and I still am today.
