VforVendetta 2,024
I think that they must pay for the certifications tbh... But I still can't understand why she doesn't buy them!
Jesse Pinkman 4,660
Its up to her record label and it costs money to have music certified. It's science, bitch

Asia 269
IDK. But I don't know much about the process in general... Is it possible she is waiting until she releases ARTPOP so while she is promoting the album she can get photos with her certified album/songs in order to emphasise and capitalise on past success? Seems unlikely to me tbh, but it was the best reason I could think of. I thought about it too... To show the world she's back with a new album + all the sales she's got. Runway 27,876
because interscope needs to pay for it and they don't have a reason to certify 3 year old songs

Fizzy 2,217
Then they should pay already, Cheap Interscope and Polydor! :/I don't even know, how many other countries are left to be certified! :P “The scars on my mind are on Replay”
ChasingGhosts 726
what does she have to do for it to be certified.. i thought its just automatic me too, someone please explain the process! The label has to pay for albums and singles to get properly certified. I don't think GaGa or Interscope really care since it's only to show how successful they are. Personally, I'd love it if they because it's the only thing the GP will care about in 15-20 years.
