ChicaSkas 22,404 Posted March 10, 2013 Share Posted March 10, 2013 Way back on GGD 1.0, when the awards were held for the 2nd time on GGD, there were little icons or small images given for the members who were nominated for an award. The nominated members displayed them with pride and addded them to sigs, profile pages, ect. For the people who didn't win the final vote, especially, these little icons were a great way for them all to say, "Hey, look, I meant something to someone, I was nominated!" I don't have an example of those icons to show you, but I know they existed, and a Graphic Artist simply rigged up little rectangles of the GGD Awards logo and the person's username, and the category. Edit: it was something like this, or it was just the little ribbon, or something... I don't remember. Also, when the final awards did happen, the runner up (or Second Place) member got a Runner Up icon made for them. (I'll never forget in 2011 I got my very first anything on any forum -- a Most Helpful Runner-Up icon) If we could do it this time, it would be a way of acknowledging the users who were bright enough to be noticed in the first place, like a kind of a consolation prize to show off, in a way. What do YOU guys think ? Do you think it would be nice for the nommed users, or not? I'd like to hear all opinions. I think personally it would be more inclusive for them.
