A few reasons: -she would have been the first woman in 200 years to be executed in Tennessee -her crime was committed 30 years ago….when she was 18. One of the only 18 year olds to be sentenced to death. And being on death row that long is insane. -the murder was especially barbaric and horrendous -she had a horrible childhood and was failed by almost every adult she ever encountered. -two other people committed the murder with her. One got probation and the other (her boyfriend) got life with possibility of parole -And now…because it was a failed execution. For it failing. For it being the second in a row in Tennessee. And the fact that her attorneys tried to say this was going to happen. she/her/hers
Jackaroo 2,962
so what’s gonna happen now that they left her brain damaged in the hospital? is she gonna get better and then they’ll just reschedule her execution or is this gonna take another 10 years? either way this is so messed up. The human race failed her big time.

The human race failed her big time. So the govenor could grant her clemancy (life in prison). She could die in hospital. They could try to execute her again - the last failed execution got the guy a 1 year reprieve but that one failed before injection. This one if they try to repeat will go through the courts again so will take a few years to process. Its a bad day for the politicians. It was a high profile case the right turned into a star case for their cause and it's backfired in the way numerous medical experts predicted in multiple court cases over the last 30 years. And now, creates a test case that could impact the legality of the death penalty at SCOTUS depending on when it hits the court & who wins in 2028. The gays know how to party

Franch Toast 27,833
So she's conscious and talking, and her team expects a long recovery. And guess who's paying for her medical care from her botched execution? U.S. tax payers. This is one reason I am opposed to the death penalty. It is expensive. SleepingSun 1,686
Watch MAGA create a religion around her because she survived two lethal injections and thus is the 2nd coming of Jesus, here to bring The Rapture™ Anyway, I am against the death penalty, explaining my reasons would take more time than I care to spend on this demonic forum. Those in favor of it do have a point and shouldn't be ridiculed, though. Because Kindness punks and stuff Edited 12 hours ago by SleepingSun One second I'm a troll, then suddenly the troll is me. But I don’t think it’s worth using our money to keep her alive tbh. Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”

JustAnotherGayASMR 458
This whole story is absolutely wild. They're clearly incompetent to use pentobarbital, or any intravenous form of execution for that matter. If they're still looking to proceed I think they should opt for a different method. After all it's just another gay x https://www.youtube.com/@JustAnotherGayASMR
gagzus 26,338
I mean under technicality they could just say the government did its job trying to execute her, so they have no more responsibility anymore. But equally it feels weird to essentially “let her go” or get away with it. Yet inhumane to just keep trying until she dies—reminds me of the witch trials to a degree, almost, where if you survive they continue until you die.
